Oooh <3 Much kudos for reviving this coin. I used to solomine it for almost a month a year ago, with interesting profits.
Too bad most of the coin distribution has already happened, and as such, it's in the hands of an elite few. Maybe a total refresh could help mitigate this?

And by this, I mean a totally new crypto, with the same name and community, but from block 0 again, and freshened up to today's standards.
Blockchain loading is horribly slow, which was is expected with a quark based algo. Anime-quark is far from CPU-only, I can mine it easily on my cudaminers.
Maybe adding PoS too would be a good idea. A much longer and more stable PoW period would also be advisable to keep the coin alive.

I understand some people would feel cheated on if they have a large supply of AnimeCoin, but you could import the old priv keys into the new network and reward everyone who had an active address (like they did with CLAMs).
Or a 1-on-1 exchange, funded with a premine. The total supply should be a lot higher then though.

Yep, it's not needed if you solo mining from wallet,
but if you mining from sgminer/ccminer it won't work without rpcusername/rpcpassword set in animecoin.conf

Try mining without making a Animecoin.conf file first. I don't have one and I mine just fine.

If you have to make one in order to mine (and it can take a few minutes to get connections the first time) then make a AnimeCoin.conf file

It's just a txt file named Animecoin.txt with this in it

You are so helpful mate I just observed after configuring the wallet it is mining by itself keep sending info that it is getting at least 8 ani but it is unconfirmed, I'm just curios in what are the difference between wallet mining and anime.conf mining? what should I need most or what is more profitable? You must create animecoin.conf, it not available by default.
for mining you must sync your wallet before you can start mining..

1- Hentai is not allowed here because we will be setting an example of the use of Animecoin for the anime communities worldwide, and for that we need to be as neutral as possible, what I mean by this is that because this is the Ground Zero, this needs to be as clean as possible so that even 12 year olds could come and look for information or be part of this anime community here at bitcointalk without getting any psychological harm

I would like to argue that a segregated/seperate area would be more neutral than disallowing it totally. Regardless - I would have taken the small UTXOs from my mined coins and combined them so the resulting transactions I send out wouldn't be so large, but without coin control, this is a hopeless task.

- I love the first two seasons of SAO because they're EPIC.

- And Stiens;Gate is a master piece, I recommend watching the sub version for people who haven't seen it yet.

- Fate/ Zero, the most difficult thing about it is watching the first episode because is 40 minutes long, and you kind of feel out of place because you're trying to understand the plot, after that it scales up from to amazing to perfect.

All the Studio Ghibli films are just wonderful,Studio Ghibli people pour their hearts and souls in their projects.

I don't need to say anything about Death Note because is amazing.
