Are we expecting the price to increase when the next n-factor change comes?

Am I the only one concerned that the coin founder literally won't put 1 dime of his own money towards his own coin?  All financial risk must be taken on by the community every time.  He could have sold some of his own UTC, he could put it on a credit card, he could do a lot of things besides asking you people to shoulder the burden yet again.

I'm glad some of you do it willingly, but the fact that he won't pony up a penny drives me insane.

I tapped into my asic budged to pay for this.....if i didnt get this back i would loose thousands of dollars (the full refund period is over)......and i need those asics to expand the UTC network with the gains.

And this is a community coin, not just my coin.We are all part of this

I love this coin. I designed a custom Physical Coin ( not finished yet ) , and also some Laser Engraved UTC Keychains!

The key chains finally came today!

I am listing them on a site I recently made as well!

I have it setup so I can manually take UTC payment ( can also take automated BTC, and LTC payments ), so test it out and let me know how it works!

Any questions, send me a PM or email!

Question? I am trying to figure if GPU-Z is reading correctly on win 8.1. When watching the "sensors" tab for the gpu it says that Memory Usage "dedicated" is 0 mb but the red bar beside it is full up to 100%. The Memory Usage "dynamic" says 2319 mb (3gb cards) and the red bar shows about 75%. Also I thought that cgminer used "dynamic" memory by default and not sure how to change this. Anyone know, maybe ThirtyBird could chime in, thanks.

Note: I tried to download another program for monitoring (can't remember the name...oh ya "hwInfo") but all I got was a bunch of other freeware and had to jump through hoops and do surveys so I quit trying.

I've been told GPU-z doesn't work well on Windows 8 and to use HWInfo on Win 8.  I can't verify as I use Win 7 on my machine.  I'm not sure what the adware is about, sorry.

The dynamic memory thing is a function of the Windows driver actually - if the memory being allocated in one shot exceeds the size of the GPU memory buffer (even by 1 MB), it puts the whole thing in Dynamic memory - aka, your system memory (which, if you don't have enough left there, gets put in your swap file - now THAT is slow!) which is usually a lot slower as it goes through the PCI bus to get there.
Thanks, I was able to find a better download link for HWInfo and GPU-z was not reading correctly for Win8.1. The actual reading in HWInfo was 2319mb of dedicated memory but still always shows 10mb of dynamic no matter what card settings I use. I then increased TC from 16384 to 19712 (HD7950 x12) and dedicated mem is now at 2800mb (of 3gb available). Any attempt to use more dedicated mem cause crash. but so far WU is better, Thanks again. I must say optimizing these cards for scrypt-cacha has been a definite learning experience, ready for next n-factor! Think I might try the yacminer you listed for next project!

I have been asked to represent UTC on the "Bitcoin Sweden Conference - 03 April 2014" and be a speaker on an altcoin expert panel.

http://cac-cardacademy.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=42&Itemid=69
There will also be a possibility of forming a partnership with a payment processor
http://btcx.se/pos/btcxpos.php

Nitro Pool is sponsoring this and paying the entire amount. But we do want a recording of your speech in HD and not on one of those Cellphone cameras.

Have fun on the trip bumface!! Also, good luck with speaking and procuring a payment processor.

Kudo's @ Stuhlman for sponsoring the trip!!

Also, a shout out to all the continual supporters / community with UTC!!

Coin founder does not have to pay for everything himself really. Unless he/she is really wealthy already. We know bumface is not.  Tongue
I also don't see other coin founders doing everything out of their pocket either. If they do, it's mostly from their pre-mine anyways.

Heck, if someone paid for my flights, I still wouldn't be able to go due to family/work commitment.
So I'm just happy that bumface is dedicated enough to do it for the coin regardless of who pays for it.
Just having a speaker for Ultracoin in public conferences is pretty special compared to most coins.

Veni. Vidi. Vici.
Very exciting times ahead. Thank you Stuhlman & the Nitro team for the contribution. Very commendable! We should all be proud to be part of such a strong community.

But let's not take this for granted and sit around assuming things will magically get better. In fact, while this will open the doors for UTC to really gain some ground, it equally reinforces the fact that we all need to do our part and promote the living hell out of Ultracoin and the events/press to come. Tweet, re-tweet, post, and post again. The more UTC comes up in conversation, the more we all benefit. This is a rare catalyst that can have profound effects, but only if we execute properly!

Thanks a lot Stuhlman, that's extremely generous of you.
If I can send back the lift in one way or another, I'll make sure I can.
Take care.
