Perhaps you don't. It was an example, used in this case because many others do. But you just do login there. And when you do, I doubt you refrain from glancing at the trollbox. It is a simple matter of marketing. People are going off of community support over practicality. We have practicality locked in, it is the support we need to worry about most. And I guess the bottom line is that we need to start with those who are actively seeking undervalued coins with potential.

People don't go to Youtube for Ultracoin, or Facebook, etc. They are on the exchanges. And maybe, sometimes, they might Google it and come across this forum. So lets keep the traffic on target and grow our support base.

There needs to be a clear cut story / business case that makes UTC absoltely cutting edge compared to the other ones.

We already know speed is probably its best asset.
Now, is there another one?

-It needs to be sexy, for sure. And sexy as in: a shinny youtube presentation that associates an excellent narrative to good images and good music.

kinda. if you are forced to downclock, then yes less power. half the hashrate means its twice as hard to solve a share, its doing twice as much work, with same amount of power until you are forced to downclock. so based on what you said, no.

edit: my killawatt proved I'm still using same amount of power as 2 nfactors ago, and is same as scrypt. did see slight decline as i slightly downclocked to run cgminer 24/7. so for all intents and purposes, slight change is negligable up to this point. next nfactor will be different story.
