Mac miner link has to be updated (need to remove SpeedyShare due to issues) << Anybody have a link to the Mac miner but not via SpeedyShare?

Thanks for all your work xwebnetwork, if/when our beloved UTC hits the big time it will be in no small part due to your efforts. Cheers.

2% premine....so 2,000,000 UTC which is now ~25% of all UTC in circulation.

No thanks. Anyone who wishes to be a part of something with this much centralized control of the supply for little or no work to those hold that 2,000,000 UTC are asking for trouble.

Next.... Roll Eyes

Top 50 wallets in the world holds about 15% of all Bitcoins. http://bitcoinrichlist.com/
Top 20 wallets of LTC holds about 30% of all LTC.  http://www.litecoinrichlist.com/
So what do you say about that?

Premine isn't a problem anymore.
Some of the big whales who bought tons of UTC with their BTC & LTC hold more than people from the pre-mine.

Please help me

I have 4 * R9 290 saphire , also 8 gig ram on my rig

Cgminer work fine and each card show 165kh/h
But
WU is 0 .00

Cgminer show " New block detected by pool " I can't see accept any share

This is my Config

setx GPUMAXALLOCPERCENT 100
setx GPUUSESYNCOBJECTS 1
ultracoinminer -o stratum+tcp://ultra.nitro.org:3337 -u xxx -p xxx --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600  -w 64 -g 1 -I 18 --thread-concurrency 45000 --no-submit-stale --lookup-gap 2 --expiry 10 --scan-time 1 --queue 0
Try --lookup-gap 3. You may also want to try it without setx GPUMAXALLOCPERCENT 100
setx GPUUSESYNCOBJECTS 1
. Don't use them in my bat files.

This is complete bullshit. We're going on almost two weeks with your pool having over 50 percent of the hash rate and nothing has changed. In fact you've only got more miners. I mine at Leetpools, because I like the community there. I feel that I am being punished, including all of the miners that are not mining at your pool. Your pool's enormous hash rate is robbing the blocks from other pools and we are getting orphaned.  You say you've done everything you can to fix the problem, yet you haven't tried raising your pool fee past 3%. You hide behind this while taking more profits and claiming you've done everything you can. It's bullshit and I'm calling you out on it. Raise your fees and distribute the hash rate, because miners whom choose not to mine on your pool do not deserve to be punished. I am going to boycott your pool at my own expense in hopes to fix this issue for the Ultracoin community. Raise your fees to 10%. It's the only way it will make people move. Speaking of seeing pools take action, Leetpools is the only one that has attempted to balance the hash rate by offering 0% fees and block finder rewards. What have you done? Took 3% fees and continued to perpetuate the problem while filling your own pockets. All of you in the community should speak up as well.

Thanks

The way its going there will only be one pool left for UTC.
If leet pools goes away, all those orphans will just get passed on to the smaller pools, and the smaller pools will o/c also die.

Nitro's hash is physically destroying the viability of other pools day after day, nitro has complete monopoly of the block-chain atm.

Leet pools is literally absorbing the brunt of the orphans for the benefit of the network, how long do you think the spartans will keep the shields up protecting the smaller pools from the nitro Persians?

At this point , the UTC dev team needs to find a way to patch against 51% attacks by hard coding a limit on pool hash-rates to 45% or something.
Some kind of balancing scheme.

I propose some kind of UTC Pool hash balancing scheme.
Imagine if the network was smart enough to adjust the difficulty for each pool separately based on the percentage of hash that pool receives.
Pools with higher hash say over 45% could start to have their difficulty increase, and smaller pools with less hash could have the difficulty decreased.
This would cause all miners to actively seek a balance point where all pools are on the same difficulty.

It would solve everything and ensure 100% network security against a 51% attack.
You could have specified difficulty ranges for each bracket (1~10% , 11~20% etc...) and as one pool approaches 51% of the network the difficulty of that pool rises to correct the networks miss-allocation of resources, it would also protect against forks, which are pretty much a certainty at this point for UTC in the future.

That doesn't make sense, then solo miners will have very low diff it would be better to cpu mine this coin for maximum profit :p.

What we have now doesn't make sense.
If things continue, the only solution will be, there will only be one pool, what self-respecting coin has only.... one pool?

Leetpools has literally sacrificed more than any pool for this community, so many promos, so many upgrades , so many give-aways , so many hours of leetpools helping people on irc.

Least people could do is spread hash out to make the network stable and secure for the long haul, people would rather just be lazy and mine on nitro with 10% fees than go spread the hash out on perfectly good pools like leet and others who are offering constant promos to try and correct the problem.

Any mirror for the Mac wallet? Sorry if already posted but 500+ pages is a lot to look through. The link in the OP says I can only download if I pay for premium service.

--lookup-gap 2 does not work on 4GB machines depending on how many 280x you have.
I have a 4 x 280x rig with 4GB RAM and it hangs/crashes when I set to 2. It works with 3.
Once I upgraded to 8GB RAM, it worked and I got about 20% higher hash rate. (from 110 to 135-140)

Hmm, on my rigs 7970/280x with 4GB RAM --lookup-gap 2 works perfect  Smiley
But it is helpful information, it may be useful to someone.
Maybe you have not enough virtual memory or disk space?

You were right! I increased virtual memory (Windows) from system managed (default) to 8192MB and now I can use lookup-gap 2 just fine.
Now I get 140KH/s across all my 280x cards even on 4GB RAM rigs. Virtual memory is one thing I didn't really think about for mining. Thanks!

Yes.
Virtual Memory in windows is very important for scrypt mining, on 290/290X cards too.
I will add this info to my posted settings, it may be useful to someone.
I'm glad you its ok now Smiley

If I only knew that before I bought new RAM.

Many thanks for the info though!

Just an FYI to miners who may not know. The .net domain is no longer being used for connecting to the pool at leetpools. You need to change your conf and/or bat files to .com:3333 or .com:3335. Carry on.
