bought with 0,3 btc from 0.00014 to 0.00015 and now someone sell for 0.000138  Roll Eyes
whats the problem with pushing the price a little bit higher? you need "nothing" to do that.
look at mint/btc 127btc/24h. buy a few coins to push the price and other people will buy too!

@halofirebtc
I have seen the difference between the investors, traders, and miners. I am the latter two. Miners get their coins for 10-120% (yes some ppl mine silly coins over 100% in cost, like Extremecoin) of market price. Investors pay a full but always 100% of market price when they buy crypto with fiat. Traders are somewhere in between depending wher they get their coin from, mining or investing. But this is where 90% of all debates and conflicts come from, 3 different views of crypto of where it should be presently and in the future.

Main reason I was saying there was a problem from my 130 utc to what others get (200) is that I might have wrong settings if he was right and I'd like to figure out why I'm not getting 200.

2 270x = 175 watts each
1 290 = 300 watts
mobo 100 watts

kill-a-watt confirms ~750 watts. i get 1.8MH/s in scrypt, 350KH/s for utc current n-factor level

I'm actually getting 100-125 utc/day, but I discount higher number when calculating. I do agree 25% more UTC can influence my numbers. Once I have 24 hours worth of deposits into my wallet, i can update my actuals. I was depositing directly to exchange, but I don't trust the exchange now since I see so many bogus orders. Worse than walls, fake little orders driving price down and with NO buyers.... I've been trying to offload 20% of my UTC to cash in and unless I sell direct to the buy side, forget it, it won't sell.

with 350 KH/s u get atm about 200 coins

Something is not right then. Based on March 1st AP withdrawals from leet, I'm getting 50 UTC every 9 hours. 130 utc per day on that calculation. Hashrate on leet is 285-400. I'm not donating. biiiiig difference from 200.

As usual,  that was pointed out right as difficulty was lowest since nfactor change.  One could say that at the nfactor change you would've gotten 500 coins;......but that was for about 20 minutes maybe.  You can always tell a trader from a miner.   If the difficulty goes down to 0.125 you would get 3200 coins!  Think of the profit then!  *facepalm

More coins per day is bad.  Lower difficulty is bad.  Higher profitability without buy support is bad.  I would MUCH rather be saying "we are ONLY getting 20 or 10 or 2 coins @ that hash"

FYI the average coins per day /  per 1 Khs (scrypt equivalent) over the life of the coin is about 80 /day.

I'm sorry to be a bit sarcastic in response.  Instantaneous coins / day don't really mean much.  It takes a longer period to determine actual coins netted.  What will be the difficulty by then?  What will be the price by then?  Will there be support to buy said coins at stated price?

Miners, just have to look at things a different way.  Raise the price and hold it;  miners will come in droves.

Edit: to clarify, I'm not complaining or whining; just defending halofire's perspective on his profit / mining.

Here's another idea. Everytime your miner creates 100 coins why not tweet it with the hastag #UTC plus time taken and money made at current price?

If anyone wants to follow me on twitter I'm @paulbendall

If you have not done it already, like the UTC Facebook page!

And then invite all of your friends to like it. The more likes we get, the more exposure. Let's get this coin cranking!

Done! Although I'm only inviting firends with an interest in crypto I don't like shotblasting my FB friends

At the present trading volumes on these small exchanges, the prices are meaningless.

750 watts is insane.

I have 400 watts at .152USD/KWh.

200khash- 7.43/day
Power - 1.44/day

How is yours so terrible?

@halofirebtc
From a miner's perspective, in real time calculations:

For me currently:
100 utc/day at .00014000 = .014btc x $570 =  $7.98 - $3.96 electric (750 watts) = $4.02/day x 30 day = $120.60/month x .70 (30% taxes) = $84 per month in my pocket. I net $239/month and get to keep $84. 50% cost in electric is where I draw my line to start looking for new possibilties. 55% electric cost, I'm done mining the coin, unless I can foresee a near-term price jump.

Yes, my electric is high. $0.22 usd. Tax rate might be high too, but I figure state and federal into this and tax rate is also based on a future 10 rig setup.

Still profitable, and will be for most people after my 55% limit is reached. Some people with free electric or cheaper than my .22 will still mine, but UTC is getting into territory that expensive electric miners will no longer mine. Please understand this post is meant to be educational from a real world experience, not a threat to leave or promise of any future action.

warning: mintpal is ridiculously manipulated. watching these orders is making me laugh.  Grin

What, because its going down -> manipulation?

I dont mind my UTC value dropping because I love that the people who bought the premine are down even worse than me. Its an awesome thought.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they are still able to sell at 400% profit against what they paid for it.

Ah, I was off by a decimal point. Damn.

Well I'd be willing to lose everything just so they do too Tongue
