Understood, but your not supposed to test and tweak right before release. You do all that stuff first.......... so your product is ready to release on time

Dude I've seen way worse launches that this..
Also a last check pre-release is always welcome. This doesn't mean that they haven't stressed and tested stuff

Your guesses please: Will Ultracoin launch on time regardless whether the official two pools are ready?
I think they should delay the launch until they get the official pools running with a minimum number of registrants (e.g. at least 100). If I'm running a scam pool, what a perfect opportunity to get desperate, eager, money-hungry miners to jump on my pool.

I'm planning on pool mining and only know how to mine scrypt based coin.
I'm using BFGminer on linux, any modifications I have to make to the .conf files before mining this coin? or I should use the normal scrypt settings as usual?
Any help would be appreciated it. Thanks

Before formulating your plan, you should read this thread. This isn't a scrypt coin... It is scrypt-jane. The OP has the miner links.

Why are the pools not open for registration? The point of this is for people who are not going to be around at launch to configure before hand!
the devs are running behind, i am sure they are working as hard as they can. it is better to have it closer to working correctly and be a bit late, than to put it up and have 100 people yelling about errors
