No, it's personal preference.
to be quite honest Bitcointalk has really gone downhill these last few years. The merit system is ridiculous and the sheer volume of spam posts make it not really worthwhile for any project to run any kind of rewards-system for promotion.

I'm just here to ensure that news which is posted on the discord and telegram channels are replicated here.

Why you think so? A lot of projects have bounty on this forum nowdays for increase popularity, building community and bring new people. And even some existed project launching bounty (like QuarkChain for example).
That is my word, bounty or airdrop is a good way how to attract more people, they will try the platform and probably will like it, so they will stay. Look for example at TRON BTT airdrop  Wink.

There are some VERY extreme and GLARING flaws in both GRIN & BEAM

1: How can we ever ensure that a single node hasn't hijacked the network and are receiving disproportionate rewards?

2: With addresses only being temporary, how would recurring payments be allowed? Verified? Etc? For example a shop has a Beam payment option. How would they give an address for payment that multiple visitors can use. Normally I would say this is a future issue outside of the fact that it's hindered by the core of the concept.

3: There is no need for these levels of privacy in cryptocurrency and to keep pushing for it in such a way only creates additional issues. There is NO way to know if BEAM or GRIN has been exploited due to the lack of addresses.

Faced with the problem: in the console wallet was created by the address; this address was used for the BEAM mining on sparkpool and leafpool. GUI wallet shows that this address has expired. Consequently from the exchanges I can not withdraw their coins. Who faced with similar and solved the problem?

#1 - Never mine with an expiring address.

#2 - The newest version of the wallet is supposed to have an option to reactivate an expired address, but I have not tried it personally. I think that you will need to contact both of the pools that you mined at as well; I hope you didn't mine this way since launch?

I created the address in the console wallet according to the instructions from the site BEAM on the day of the launch of the mainnet. There was no information that you can create a permanent and temporary address. So I could not even think that this would happen. Later in the GUI wallet I saw that my address is expired.

Thank your! It really helped me. And I even already got my coins with leafpool.

Team BEAM special thanks for the implementation of this function!

Any info about wallet problem or some else problem? Almost 8 hours today trying to withdraw from sparkpool, wallet is online, beam is shown in wallet and stays on confirming and after some time goes to canceled.

I just leave it open and it eventually clears, not very secure thought about Ng to leave your wallet open.

announced today, Beam will be listed on bitforex on 28th January.
does anyone have any experience with this exchange? how long has it been active?

thanks.

Works very well with Grin and is the much better experience than crap Hotbit. And ofc less fees.
I do not understand what´s problem you have with hotbit? Never had any problem with Hotbit, but understand Bitforex is much bigger exchange, so good news for Beam!

Many users have had a variety of issues with hotbit.
right from the start, they had bots pumping fake volume and both buyers and sellers found it difficult to place orders and have them filled. Exchange bots are detrimental to real users in a variety of ways - if you can never catch a bot price, you will always be buying way higher than the correct ongoing value.

this is just one example.
I see that you are wearing Beam signature code. Is there any ongoing signature campaign? Could you kindly give me link where I can get more information, please?
