Hello guys. I have one question.

What ar the fees for transferring $100 worth BCH for example and what is the time needed to process/confirm the transaction.

Thanks

that depends on various factors. Which wallet are you using ?

well I'm not using any wallet for BCH as I do not have BCH. That is why I want to know what are the fees comparing to BTC for example ...
What wallet do you recommend ?

good question. Is there any sites with fees overview for BCH? For BTC we have some nice sites including https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

You can set low non-zero fee (liek 5-10 sat per byte) and your transaction will be included in the next block. You can also try with zero, but in this case it depends on the settings used by miner(s). I'm pretty sure some of them will include zero-fee tx too.

You can check block times here http://bch.xbt.it/

and mempool with fees https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/cash/#24h

And how do you define 'decentralized' ?   <- This is bit a crux ...
In my view decentralization is all about the mining being done by as many people as possible. You don't want a small group controlling the mining process. In both Bitcoins that is the case. And in many other altcoins also. As John McAffee correctly states in many interviews ... the mining business is a competitive business and therefore will always end up being centralized.

Clean Code and Scale
Decentralization is king - not individuals -
If you like decentralization than you shouldn't support either of the 2 Bitcoin versions.

Hu ? What is better AND even safe ?

Won't this thread be banned one day? Or is this thread more anti-Bitcoin Cash? Anyway, I just came here to look for reasons why Bitcoin Cash price is holding up and about to go up another leg.

Wasn't bitcoin's first idea not about immutability and disruption ?

 Grin

If you look at the open source code Bitcoin Cash is more immutable to SegWit and TABs.

1 - Grayscale Investments recently announced its intention to sell the (Bitcoin Cash) held by its Bitcoin Investment Trust (OTC: GBTC) — a fund that currently holds more than $1 billion in assets — and distribute a dividend to its shareholders according to the below link.
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitmex-to-dump-bitcoin-cash-and-credit-users-with-bitcoin/

2 - Some exchanges will credit Bitcoin holders per 1 august 2017 with Bitcoin cash on december 2017 and January 2018 which can result in selling free money for christmas expenses or for ideological reasons.

3 – Bitcoin has several possible upcoming hard forks that can lead to many want to hold Bitcoin to get the free coins.

Super Bitcoin, Bitcoin Platinum, Bitcoin Uranium, Bitcoin cash plus, Bitcoin silver, Bitcoin lightning network, Bitcoin century, Bitcoin Diamond - it seems like more and more Bitcoin hard forks are on the way.

Bitcoin Platinum scheduled to fork on dec 12 , 2017
Bitcoin Cash Plus hard fork scheduled to fork between dec 12 and jan 2, 2018
Super Bitcoin scheduled to fork on dec 15, 2017
Lightning Network scheduled to fork on dec 23, 2017
Bitcoin Uranium scheduled to fork on dec 31, 2017
The date of the fork for the other coins are still unknown.

All the details about the upcoming forks are at the below website:

News about Bitcoin Diamond & Century hard fork

All those "bitcoin newcomers" will be largely used for speculation. Nevertheless they will fuel original bitcoin and boost its price to new heights.

Battle for ‘True’ Bitcoin Is Just Getting Started
By Yuji Nakamura
and Olga Kharif
In August, the bitcoin world split in two when bitcoin cash broke away from bitcoin. It was the culmination of years of growing tension about how to improve the world’s most popular cryptocurrency. The divide has set up a battle over which is the “true” bitcoin, pitting rivals whose combined market value has eclipsed that of Citigroup Inc. and Coca-Cola Co. Now, investors are bracing for volatility and a fight that could define what a cryptocurrency can or should be.

The mainstream are now teaching the newbies, that Bitcoin Cash is here to stay and why  Smiley

Bitstamp adding BCH anytime soon.

More people are joining crypto at an extremly fast rate,
the demand will outstrip supply for BCH as its very very cheap (BCH under $3k is cheap imo)and has huge huge profit potential,
over the next yr, it will gain alot more traction, more merchants, more widespread adoption due to it being, faster and cheaper than btc...

The miners are backing BCH

Some of the biggest FI & crypto investors have more BCH now than ever before, they are accumulating.

finnally, for those that worry about grayscale, bitmex dumps for btc....think about this...
i heard, they are selling customers fund and are shorting for themselves....
this could lead to upset customers, that wanted to keep thier BCH...maybe even leading to lawsuits....
i doubt they will do it and are trying to create fud.

No reasons to sell, only reasons to
