I got my x-bit debit card (even 2 of them!) which I really did NOT order. What does it mean? Do I need to pay those mad fees?  Angry

I really loved your site and i was just about to verify my account but then i saw your card maintenance fees page. Everything looked cool but inactivity fees.  Shocked

To avoid paying inactivity fees($11-$12 per month), you need to make atleast 5 ATM withdrawals/POS transactions, don't forget that there are additional withdrawals/pos transactions fees which you have to pay as well.

So in total, if you are one of those person who uses card only 2-3 times in a month has to pay $144 annually($12(0.05BTC) x 12month) for inactivity fees which is too high.   Sad

If you hold a balance on site of at least 5 BTC or the equivalent in other currencies, inactivity fees don't have to be paid by the user.

Using the card 5 times a month isn't at all hard, at least for me. The odd ATM withdrawal and large POS purchase here and there will quickly get you to 5 transactions, which means no inactivity fee.

How long would one take to get to the UK shipping free and to also confirm identity on exchange? Is the offer still open for bit-x members to claim debit card FREE?

Shipping starts tomorrow. It should take anywhere from a few hours to a day or so.

The offer is still open to receive a FREE card Wink.

Thanks for the info I will try to get some documents uploaded to computer and get them sent in and get me account confirmed and then send in request for card Smiley

Great! Verification is usually verified quickly once you submit the right documents!

Well what is best to submit here I have some sort of bills I have counicel tax bill and rental agreement with rent name address on it would these be fine to confirm account or do I  also need submit photo ID too?

Photo ID (proof of identity) along with one of the above (council tax bill or rental agreement as proof of residence) will suffice.

I received a pm from you about updating all the information to get the debit card delivered to my address.

But, is it compulsory to verify the bit-x.com account by submitting all the valid documents. ?

Please pm me with more details.

I may look at getting one if the cost to upkeep is reasonable it would be very nice to have a Bitcoin credit card.

Well I certainly wouldn't be keeping 5btc on an exchange or using it five times a month that's for sure. Is there any reason why these fees are essential? I could understand it if you had to pay Mastercard for the inactivity but can't see why they would do this. If the inactivity fees are just on your end to try make a bit of profit by forcing users to use the cards then I think you should try get rid of the fees because they're a massive turn off and will likely cost you money and customers in the long run mo.

MasterCard™ (and the card issuer and bank) all charge fees for partnerships.

Currently Bit-X is even operating at a loss, regarding the debit cards. For those who have a use for the service and intend to actual use it, I don't think fees will be that much of a big deal.

I don't doubt Mastercard charge fees but for inactivity? I know you've got to make money from the card and have no issue with paying fees when the card is used but paying them for when it's not used isn't right and not something I'd ever sign up to. I really can't image many others will use this card at all either or if they do not for long. I don't really see the benefits of it unless you're a criminal on the run or something and have had all your bank accounts seized  Cheesy.

Didn't you just say they were waived here:

With a balance of 5BTC or more or the equivalent in your LTC, USD, EUR or GBP balances there are no inactive monthly fees.

Or is that just if you have a balance of over 5btc?

If you have a balance over 5BTC or more (or the equivalent in your LTC, USD, EUR or GBP balances) or do at least 5 card transactions a month then you are considered active and there isn't a monthly inactive fee charged.

So if I was one of the first 10k users what fees would I have to deal with assuming I don't use the card much and often go months without using it? Would I just have to pay the normal fees everytime I used it to make purchases?

The inactivity fee still applies for the time being.
