You can use the -bootstrap option, and use the 'connect=' option pointing to your regular bitcoin client.

Any help on that? It loke lite it take weeks to sync to wallet! Sad

+1 my client is stuck "Connecting to peers...", I've tried copying over blocks from before the fork but I couldn't get that to work. To those that have modified the "configuration file" which file are you talking about exactly and what did you do?

There is a Claymore Bitcoin Gold specific miner, at least that what is says it is (I don't see any difference between this one and the Claymore ZCash miner, other than the default config and epool files list BTG pools). I've tried it and it works fine.

If you used the Electrum wallet to claim Bitcoin Cash after it's fork then use the same method to claim Bitcoin Gold. I have not tried this so I'm only going by what others have said has worked.

The launch of zcash. Everyone trying to get the mining software to work with some edgy batch code that would loop and restart the miners. This is kind of the same thing except the problem is with getting the damn wallet to sync and pools that are half-assed.

Its really can be called "zcash-style" launch, I guess the curse from zcash to btg was given through the algo...

i lost 200 bucks of hash during unannounced dev premine then offical pool takes my hours of hash again
i think my total lost is around 400 usd thanks to this great devs

Surely not the worst, This is how it goes every time, spread your hash about next time to insure yourself in these situations. Unlucky about your loss, try contacting the Dev of the pool, he may be sympathetic with you.
