Packaged separately, one invoice for one shipping address.
If you order two units of S3, one package for one unit, but two units share one invoice.
Under current exchange rate, declared value for two S3 in the invoice is lower than $1000.
Importing tax is nothing with package type.

It would be good to know though.
Buying 2 S1s combined price was lower than the $1000 Aussie customs tax value.
The S3s are a different story depending on what the BTC price is, especially when batch 2 orders may not be posted for 2 weeks and who knows what BTC price is going to be then.
So my simple question to Bitmain was/still is whether or not they will be shipping them separately or not.

Don't get me wrong, id love to order some of these miners, but with rising difficulty and the stated delay in posting from Bitmain, (up to 20th July), I just want to know exactly how the miners I might buy will be delivered and any potential costs.

I think this 2-3 weeks delivery is ok with any new product launch, I know lot of people have bad feelings about Pre-Order but I don't consider this to be Pre-Order, 1st batch will give him an idea of production volume, this is a huge spike in orders so the assembly line has to be adjusted, it's not like steady state where you know you are selling X units per day and then you could adjust your inventory, I am pretty sure they will ship as soon as they are assembled.
 

They are most likely separate - just like the S1s were when they switched to MOQ of 2.

Now that website is now accepting orders and it is showing as minimum order quantity 2,
my questions which HAVE NOT been answered included,

How are the S3s posted, are they posted separately or in one package. The difference in postage means a great deal to buyers who may need to pay customs tax.

Sorry, I thought a preorder meant something that couldn't be delivered straight away because it was not yet available. And in this case, why would delivery be delayed for 2 weeks when Bitmains excellent record of postage within 2 days of order is not the case?
Happy for all your arguments against.
Please also read my original post which has plenty of well deserved praise for Bitmain.

All im really after is clarification from Bitmain is to how they are going to accept orders, 1 or min 2 for Batch 2 and also if 2 are ordered, then are they posted in one package or 2.

No they are not.  A Pre-Order is when a company starts accepting orders (and MONEY) for a product that does not yet exist but that they are planning to build.  This is not and never has been the case with BitmainTech.

Congratulations on selling out batch 1.

Will we be able to buy single units for batch 2? For batch 1, the MOQ was 2.

So, now S3s are basically a preorder. HMMM, delivery in 2-3 weeks.
Yep, im gonna get all the negative and normal responses from the Bitmain fans, of which I am one still, but...

Ive got some questions about shipping,

Ive just tried to order some, ok, Batch 1 goooorrrrn.   But to order from Batch 2, the order quantity greyed out and cannot order.
I would like to know that if we must order 2 x S3s, are they shipped together and therefore, the price possibly over $1k depending on BTC conversion to AUD. If this is the case, then buyers in AUS will be up for around an extra $250 before customs will even release them to you.
If Batch 2 does give the option of only ordering 1 x S3, that would be fantastic.

Happy to sit back and hear all the replies good or bad, but especially looking forward to the reply from Bitmain to clarify Batch 2 shipping details.

Forgot to mention, and I must reiterate, that Bitmain has been absolutely brilliant in supplying miners in extremely short time from ordering so far. Ive bought a few S1s and a couple of S2s and every miner has arrived completely new (not used). Their supply and delivery of miners has been unmatched from what ive read on these forums from fellow miners around the globe. It would be a shame if their reputation even slightly started to drop from the highs that they are currently on. Not a wonder that Batch 1 is sold out.

Usually they ship out from China to Mumbai then on to Cologne in Germany then out to the rest of EU -
So - Shipped on Saturday = arrive before following Friday
But the courier service usually holds them till Monday in China before they start moving. So it takes about 4 days to EU.

when will second batch be delivered then? im from europe(spain), so if you guys bought in the past antminers from bitmain and you live i dont know, in germany or nearby, how long was delivery?

Yeah it should be the same as with the S1, as similar control software is used.

I can't imagine it's anything more than hooking up 3 wires and logging in to the web interface.  I could be wrong.

Is there any chance a manual for the Antminer S3 can be made available before the S3 ships?
A youtube video of hookup and setup would also be very nice.

From what I see after mining with these guys for 6 months at 12 cents per Kw and 50% difficulty increase per month, you'd make a grand total profit of 0.09BTC. Currently difficulty projections are low after the adjustment, but just wait as these S3's + other mining equipment hits the market it'll go back up to 50%+ a month IMO.
