The design of heat sink is customized but it is compatible with the hashing board of S1.
Hence we will be able to provide all the S1 buyers an option of upgrade.

only see option to buy entire new S3, hows it being done with the upgrade?

This is probably the best difficulty prediction out there:

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

It currently calculates with ~19% on the next jump, which seems pretty plausable.

It's way too early to accurately predict the next difficulty change.

M

Yep its already dropped to a 16.9% prediction.
It always drops a couple of days after a diff increase and then climbs back up again. The net hash hit 145PH/s the other day, and that's without all the S3s that are soon to be on the market. It's already started to climb again https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate?timespan=180days&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=

I wish Bitmain didn't drop wifi support on the S3, the wireless support on the S1 was very handy.

If it won't have it, considers to buy a powerline, is 10 times more stable and reliable
Or configure a WLan router as an access point, there you have your wireless connection again.

Usually is more expensive to buy a wlan router dedicated for this task
go with a 10$ wifi2lan bridge and a bunch of switches
This router is 18$ and works just fine http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-WR702N-Wireless-Repeater-150Mpbs/dp/B007PTCFFW/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1404200344&sr=8-6&keywords=tp+link

This one is 18$ and will also work http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002WBX7TQ
You also get 4 Ethernet ports, so you can attach four S3 without a switch.

I have a few of these dotted around my flat.  They are very reliable and quicker transfer speed wise.  You just plug them in and ethernet cable from them to device you want to have signal.  Personally, I have linked mine to a cheap 4 port hub which enables more devices to be connected on the one connection.

just put airport express or equivalent in the room you want it in, then connect to express via ethernet hub or directly. Router could be in another room (up to 100-150ft away).

Yeah, I know how to solve the problem, wish I didn't have to spend the $25 to do it.

hey Smiley  My order has gone valid Smiley

I have an OCZ ZX 1000w psu as shown here:  http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=238

According to these folks the PSU should be able to handle 2x S3 at overclock=780w. And apparently is 87% efficient at 100% load?

just a heads up on this unit as mine has been running almost 24/7 for over a year with no issues. great unit imho.

Try this one, direct connect to a Cat 5e cable. I have one in a garage for an S2 setup for a friend and her router is in her basement. Works perfect, never drops.

Why not? KNC is shipping nearly 1PHs per day by themselves.
There is a vast difference between shipping and running a farm. 50Megawatts per month increase equates to a new power station each year.

You guys could also try to use a wireless bridge. I used to use xbox live adapters all the time on stuff that didn't have wireless but any bridge should work.  There are no drivers to load because all it does is turn a wired Ethernet port into a wireless Ethernet port.

Glow Stick Dance!
opps

Washington-based MegaBigPower (MBP) is North America’s largest mining operation. The mine, which generates millions of dollars worth of bitcoin per month, began developing its franchisee network earlier this year. Now, the company is planning a broad expansion effort that could add as much as 50 PH/s in mining power per month to the network.

50PHs per month ? Doesn't look very feasible.
