So all the smaller gridseeds too
I have 4 and they mine 1.3khs still have not swiched them off or sell them as they dont
consume much electrons.....
and Love the red and green lights!!!
Waiting a fury to be delivered will have more colors as the fury is blue
Electrons are not consumed when using electricity Wink

The delays from bitmaintech and from AM with the s-3 and the RK-BOX have pushed me towards gridseed blades.

I am waiting for one to come from china once I determine it is could I will most likely get more.

Aren't gridseed blades destined to be door stops  after all the big scrypt miners start shipping ?

Wouldn't surprise me if Bitmain have one in the works. We know KNC are waiting on Titan wafers right now or may even have them already.

A realistic  power ability for me is 2k-watts summer 4k watts winter.

It is funny that I came up with exactly the same power ability.

At one point in the last two weeks I got to 3.1kw, and it was very difficult to cool the room and the house (also my electric utility told me that I am going to pay a lot this mo  Wink), considering that it is 92-100oF EVERY day now, so I sold off to ~2kw and will stay at this level until late fall and winter.

'The right to privacy matters'
you need to know  bitmaintech decided to hold the gear and mine for a week before they sell it to us.

hash spiked 27ph it is not all bitmaintech.

So AM held the gear a week and decided to mine with it.

BFL may be mining the monarchs

The sp30  maybe mining right now.

that gives us the 27ph spike.  I am most likely not going to hang in with the current BTC diff spike.

I did some math.  I am at 1.6th  of paid for btc gear.    It has just about done roi.   I spend 800 watts in house for the 600gh  and I have a hosted  1th miner that costs 180 usd a month.

A realistic  power ability for me is 2k-watts summer 4k watts winter.  I need 3 s-3's now   and that will max my power for in house mining for the next 75 days.

I will go from 1.6th to 3.1th  spend 3btc to get the gear.

Or I can increase my gridseed blades for 6 doing 32mh and 510 watts

to 9 doing 48mh  and 775 watts.   cost about 3btc.

It looks like I need to put money into gridseed blades ..

As I can expand and keep power under control way better then  any btc gear available.

My network share of btc is  a  joke 1,600gh/128,448,261gh    or .00000124563      and with 4 k- watts max  I have the  k-watt power  to 3x my  network share.

My network share of ltc is 32mh/338,664mh                         or  .0000944889       and with 4k-watts max I have the k-watt power to    8x   my  network share.

I have some tough choices  do I expand my  gridseed blades in house?

Do I expand  my btc  mining gear with s-3's?

Do I expand my  hosted gear?

The delays from bitmaintech and from AM with the s-3 and the RK-BOX have pushed me towards gridseed blades.

I am waiting for one to come from china once I determine it is could I will most likely get more.

Here we go...:

BM1382 DATA SHEET ...New S3 chip specs... Grin

https://bitmaintech.com/files/download/BM1382_Datasheet_v3.0.pdf

Could go up to 25GH per chip... Huh

Enjoy,

ZiG

250M is the default clock and OC to 400 is practically not feasible to get 800Ghs. Also it will break W/GH above 1.

Absolutely correct...More likely OC will be limited to 17.33MH per chip * 32 = 554GH ...for S3... Huh

I've been reading and doing some homework.. stock S3 if all the stats are true burning 400W @ 494gh/s should ROI in 70days assuming your paying

Ha I would check your math man. What difficulty are you assuming?  2-3 more jumps likely before anyone has these in hand.

What if you can mine @ as low as 0.01$/KWh?

Knc, Bitmaintech, Asicminer mainly cointribute to +27PH spike. Next month Spondoolies may join with SP30 => should not invest on mining until August!?

I've been reading and doing some homework.. stock S3 if all the stats are true burning 400W @ 494gh/s should ROI in 70days assuming your paying .15kw/h for electric and the miner never goes down and luck is on your side and BTC doesn't drop below $600USD.

But looking at the specs..while it appears you can overclock it's like a double 4barrel carb on a 454 engine.. ya it's nice but..... where did the gas go...
on the flip side is that you can underclock..

Now can this S3 be dropped to .63v with POTS/SLIDER/SWITCH or will we have to solder/graphite trick?

The S3 doesn't look as good value as the S1 was, specifically the S1 had 32 ASICs per blade and the S3 only has 16 so you are getting half the ASIC hardware that the S1 had. That's why it's only rated at 504GH/s when it would have been up around 800GH/s with better power figures if it were 64 chips like the S1. The S3 will be clocking the chips harder I bet to make up for only having 32 of them.

Does this leave an opening for the S4? Roll Eyes

No need to get panicked. The jump is due to new product test & release. If you look at previous charts there are many such jumps. BTC price will caught it. Be cool.

Have you seen many +27Ph/s spikes in the past?

I think your probably right, but still it wasnt a pretty sight to see for me first thing this morning. The gap between profit or loss on these miners is so small. However one thing I would say, unlike all the other manufacturers with possibly the exception of spondoolies, Bitmain do adjust the price inline with difficulty so that it is possible to make a profit (if managed well, power prices dependent)

Estimated Next Difficulty:    16,847,110,142 (+25.14%) Shocked

With this in mind lets hope the S3 can start at under 1btc, otherwise ROI is unlikely.

 Undecided

Just to depress everyone a little more - Estimated Next Difficulty:    16,982,184,476 (+26.14%)

Clueless!
I think we are all done with mining.

We got to sell all our gear quickly.

yeah due to circumstances with my bank i won't get into here had to prove i was a legal biz so i'm mining legal in usa now (fun fun)..i have to pay 25% tax on income mined...on the other hand I can get 25% equip depreciation eventually on the miners according to my CPA ...and have some depreciation of equip i can run forward this year (so got a sp30 spondoolies) 7.5k to tax man or 5k to tax man with sp30 ..so most of you are NOT in my situation where with past equip depreciation and such i can kinda/sorta justify it..but right now looks like w/o my tricks as a legal miner it is USD to BTC at 600 usd pays the same as BTC to equip to USD after elec etc anyway with above sp30..so again if you are not in my boat makes no sense to get miner (esp in usa) when you can get same on www.coindesk.com w/o equp hassles

now maybe some equip improvements or some such..but me likely big time equip $$$ are toast it is modest amount of 'toy' miners at less then 1K likely total in future and that will be only because i can wind out some of my equip 20% a year off of that i have sitting about from 2013 and 2014 and home biz deductions etc

anyway wish i'm wrong point out any equip that you think makes me wrong (i like to mine) but an't seen any lately this sp30 will ROI if i'm lucky in same amount of BTC (at 600 usd) as if I simply had bought coin...maybe a weee bit more with my equip depreciation i can use against my taxes...but not really worth the hassle even if you are in my boat in usa as a legal miner (shudder damn bank messing up money orders put me on radar)....anyhoo good luck i assume in 2015 they will fix this IRS version of taxes....at least i hope so ...
