Checking to see how much action a coin is getting on bitcoin talk is definitely something I always do, as many others I know too. When I came here to see just how large an investment I may want to make I was like WTF!?!? I wonder what the heck is going on with Bitshares? It's getting very little action here which is not reassuring at all. And why the heck is it so damn cheap if it's so great? Something's not right here. I think I'll just stick with my modest investment.

Not busting balls, just sharing my experience. I would love to see you guys address this. It sure would be great to see a hopping community going on here. I want to invest more, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable doing that yet.

Looking forward to much more Bitshares growth, and wishing you great success!

Who needs traditional exchanges that go gox every other year when you have BTS ? Sadly it's still undervalued due to low recognition, for starters I would fix this "OP" because there is lots of people that use bitcointalk to search for potential investition and most of them when they see this OP just press backwards button and never look back...

bitcointalk is completely irrelevant to the success of a project.

Is that some kind of absolute truth or what ? Anyway bitcointalk for project is free of charge targeted advertising, that's hardly irrelevant and popularity is important for everything. It's just my opinon, yours clearly differs oh well happens. No offence intended:)

@UP
Yes we should do that, seeing that op really leaves bad taste in my mouth and ignoring such big community as bitcointalk.org is clearly bad PR.

Yes, people know more about waves but dont know about huge potencial and superior BTS its very strange. Maybe to low marketing and media. Waves make already second signature campaign and promote his platform but about BTS I heard the silence and only permament price growing can show its coming ...

It's nonsense for waves to be higher than bitshares as literally all of their expected features we already have right now, and waves has centralized matching https://i.imgur.com/Nqz6CaD.png

Just gotta show people that image above as clearly not enough people know while bitshares is killing it https://twitter.com/theapptrade/status/867097673521922049

what is bitUSD or bitEuro ? its like real usd or euro in balance in wallet ?
And what is open.Steem or open.ETH or open.Lisk ? its this coins on market platform ? If I buy open.LISK I can send it to my Lisk wallet as normal Lisk because I bought Lisk ? but if yes why they have name "open.X" ?
I have some BTS but never traded but it looks very nice.

open.eth is asset on bts chain, provided by openledger, much like polo.eth is the item you trade on poloniex instead of real coins. by sending eth to bts openledger gateway, it converts it authomatically to open.eth and when you withdraw you get eth. the bots on the dex get price from it seems poloniex and fill orders pretty well.

what is bitUSD or bitEuro ?

It's a trustless smartcoin that keeps a value of 1 USD or 1 EUR by locking up that amount of BTS into a smart contract and adjusts automatically as BTS price varies. It doesn't rely on a central bank like USDT so won't have the issues like USDT had with Finex. This allows them to always return to $1 range. bitCNY is one of the most used smartcoins there now due to popularity in china.

Now I've just got to get my BTS off the exchange and start using it . . . to make more money!

You mean get it off poloniex or something? Or off the BitShares exchange wallet? How do you use it to make more money??

Good example of how conditioned we are that when I said "exchange" I was automatically thinking that it would be understood to be Polo, or Bittrex, for example, when in fact what I really need to do is get on "the exchange", BitShares, where I can make more money by trading . . . for example, today by having bought BitUSD if I had had my act together.  Sad

I'm going long on this.. I doubt it's over..

Yep, I did the same. I think BTS is going to be one of the BIG winners.

This one goes beyond currency ratio valuation - holding BitShares is more akin to owning an equity with a PE ratio and dividends (that I estimate it most certainly will have someday).
