Thanks, now I got the point! Since you need to buy some BTS in order to pay the fee when you are going to sell your QBITS on the market, it is really a good idea to get familiar with all the features. Unfortunately, there are no buy orders for QBITS at the moment.

I registered an online wallet for Bitshares for the first time. After registration I had 1,000 QBITS in my wallet. Could someone explain me what QBIT is and what I can do with it. Is it an asset? If so, how can this asset could gain any value when it is given away for free?

here is the link to the QBITS Market

you can actually sell them and get some BitShares - I think it's like a faucet to help get you a feeling of the trading engine and some assets to play around with

Is this the ONLY Bitshares thread on bitcointalk?

Couldn't find anything else...

They didn't post much here. All of the activity is at the bitsharestalk.org forum.

Hey, guys. I am trying to get a handle on MKR coin. Is it traded on Bitshares openledger? (I've signed up. Got some BTS. But mumble mumble . . . can't find MKR.)

[Any Australians here? PM me!]

Mark, Western Australia

EDIT :: got it

What is Makercoin?
Makercoin is the primary token of the Maker Decentralized Autonomous Organization. Makercoin has been deployed to the Ethereum blockchain as MKR in the Maker Asset Registry, and to the BitShares blockchain as the MKRCOIN User Issued Asset (backed 1:1 by MKR).

try explore --- user issued assed ---  MKRCOIN

Thanks kindly, Noobtrader.

Any links or comments where i could find more details about Bitshares distribution(Initial IPO, daily supply, etc.)?
Their website looks pretty complicated and i could not find or understand the economics behind bitshares.

I don't know if this is of any help... https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=14019.0

In any case you will have a lot more answers at https://bitsharestalk.org
Thank you.

Their ilustrated topic about history of bitshares isn't helpful, but asking in their forum might be a good shot.

How in the world do you deposit coins from bittrex to your bts wallet? i see all of this other stuff
but??? i dont no.

The account name you created in the wallet https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/create-account is your address, always try with small amounts first. Documentation is also here http://docs.bitshares.eu/bitshares/user/first-steps-users.html

Edit: i have to use btc to get bts in my wallet?

Not really, but in the bts wallet there are options to deposit real btc and get for example OPEN.BTC(IOU BTC so you can trade in the DEX) also you can sell your bts in the wallet(DEX) for OPEN.BTC and then withdraw them as BTC in your bitcoin wallet address in you PC or to an exchange like Poloniex. Keep in mind that liquidity is low right now in the DEX.

As I said in a previous post the place for more detailed and better explained answers is https://bitsharestalk.org

Will Bitshares hit $12,000,000 in market cap in first half of 2016? Yes or no? Dare to bet in bitcoin?
https://www.betmoose.com/bet/bitshares-to-hit-12m-market-cap-before-jul-1-2016-1382?ref=scacco

This could happen, but it is questionable due to the fact that there has not been much movement into development and innovation for Bitshares, not to mention that this thread has not been active with updates about the Bitshares 2.0 protocol for quite some time. After the release of 2.0, everything has been kept quiet. I wonder why.

But in the bright side, BTS price is extremely cheap now and if you grab this opportunity now, you might make a good profit if the market cap increases. Just my opinion.  Smiley
No development? You dont know how to google.

Sorry I just thought that if this thread didn't had any posts with new updates regarding the new Bitshares 2.0 then it had no development. I guess that I was too lazy to make research. Just found out that they had a new roadmap and the upcoming features look pretty interesting. It is good to see that BTS is really cheap as it is the perfect opportunity to grab some more just in case the price goes up when new features get released.  Smiley
