FWIW: I do not have the quatloo trader, but I am picking up exchange rates from cryptsy with a script and got all of sudden 502 bad gateway errors.
After mangling my code without success for quite some time I tried to change the host from pubapi.cryptsy.com to pubapi2.cryptsy.com and my problems are gone since then.
I have no clue if you can change the API host in this program but if you can it might help to try pubapi1 and pubapi2.

I just can hope Markus is still developing the software. Quatloo would have so much potential.

Wish he would pop in here and say hi and give us an update. I am still holding onto 15K QTL so the software works which at the moment does not load cryptsy data

We are all having this issue. I may be wrong, but I don't think its a bot specific issue. Bittrex/Polo work just fine, so it has to be a change that cryptsy made to the API. It could be a change that the bot can't handle, any other code utilizing the api works fine, in that case, he will need to fix it. My gut however is telling me that its a cryptsy issue, we will know if/when they ever get back to any of us on the support requests.

Yes I have problems with cryptsy too. I'm able too see my balances, my open orders and my history but can't load any cryptsy order book.

I just created a fresh api key and it seems to be working again.
I will leave my ticket open so that they can look into it on their end.

Update: That fresh api key put me on the same page as you. I can see my account balances, etc but still can't load the order book. This is likely the problem with the bot, it can't pull down an order book to look for trades.

Cryptsy not working here either.. not even balances. Tried a new api and nada.

Please do us all a favor and open a support request with cryptsy. If its happening to more than just a few of us around the globe, its likely not a localized issue, I also doubt its an issue with the bot as bit and polo work just fine.

Sent earlier after trying & failing to fix it at my end a few times.

Another idea for a feature would be to be able to export chart data into csv files for technical analysis....

You can copy/paste whatever data you want...

Thanks for your reply. The ability to copy/paste the data is generally helpful although using this method you might encounter in some use cases formatting issues which require the information to be adjusted.

Additionally, for solid coins with continuous development historic price data can exists for more than 12 months. If you copy the data into Excel it requires a lot of scrolling depending on the amount of historic data that you would like to have for your chart analysis.

I'd rather prefer a solution where the user can choose what time period to look at and it downloads (with a simple click on a button) the price data in a csv file. This would be more elegant.

In my experience, pasting into google sheets requires NO change in formatting.
I too would like to see it save all trade data to a csv that we can peruse at our discretion, but for now, copying/pasting into a sheet works for me.
If your looking to create charts based on data then the # of rows doesn't matter and in fact the more data the more accurate a chart will be.

As for getting price data, I am pretty sure that ALL of the exchanges provide that via api or other method. You also have sites like bitcoinwisdom and trading view that let you view charts of many altcoins/btc.

I do prefer to copy/paste the data that is relevant from my profitable arb trades, this way I don't have to look through a thousand lines or more of data looking for the failed trades.
There also many arguments in spreadsheets that can help summarize data for you, things like sumif and unique. You can have 1 sheet that has 10,000 lines of trades and overview sheet that uses both unique and sumif to give you an overview of the total trades made for each coin that you are trading.

Is anyone else having issues with the bot and cryptsy today?
The bittrex+polo arb tab runs just fine, the other 2 that include cryptsy refuse to load anything now, earlier I was able to get them all setup but the 2 with cryptsy did nothing.
The bit+polo tab would do its thing like normal, but the other 2 stayed blank after enabling the arb.

I have opened a support request with cryptsy and it was escalated to the api team, maybe if enough people send in a request we can get this fixed.
It would also be helpful to know if this is somehow just an issue on my end, or a crypsty issue. My vps and my home system both can ping and tracert the api server without issue, the only thing I haven't tried is issuing new api keys.

You can copy/paste whatever data you want. This is how I track dividends for the smart asset I back with the arbitrage.

If a third version of the Quatloo trading software would come out then there are three versions to maintain, bugfixes, updates and so on. Basically with every new version it gets more and more difficult to maintain.

If there is a new version, e.g. in version 3 Markus could introduce the concept that there is only one version of the software that is updated. There could be an extra tab in the settings menu where the user can choose to what degree or which features of the software to unlock. It could show the amount of Quatloo that is necessary to unlock a feature and the user can set tick marks to unlock features up to a certain level that he chooses. This would make the maintenance of the software much easier for Markus since there is only one version to update.

I'm sure here are people on this forum who have good ideas to contribute. It just would be nicer if there would be developer feedback to the community.

I am pretty sure he doesn't do any updating to version 1.x.x. The same will likely apply to 3.x when its launched. 2 already has some of what your talking about. Certain # of qtl need to be held to unlock certain feature. 1k gets you use of the bot and then you decide what you want to unlock from there.

You and me both. I would love to get the updates he has said he is working on. I use the bot to back a smart asset running on colored coins/open assets. If we could get c-cex and the cryptsy-polo push based trades, my earnings would skyrocket.

Thanks rdyoung, from previous posts I can see that you are trying to be supportive and helpful. This is how a community should be and I appreciate it.

Think nothing of it. I do what I can, where I can.

I'm asking again, in case Markus or rdyoung or somebody else could give an answer about it...

Hey, this question has been raised many times in the past, but it's still unsolved for me...

Here it is: the market list for cryptsy cannot be loaded.

I've tried with my usual account, a newly created one, and on several windows versions (32 bits and 64 bits). None of my attempts are successful and I'm sure that I use the correct keys. How come that it works for some users and not for others? Is there any chance for it to be fixed some day?

Thanks.

Can you open a cmd prompt and ping api.cryptsy.com? The only thing I can think of is that maybe your connection to cryptsy is blocked or limited in someway.
If you can ping and or tracert api.cryptsy.com it should tell you what the issue might be.

I have the same issue. Anyway, cryptsy API does work in other trading program.

I am at a loss then. There is no logical reason for the cryptsy api to work in one bot and not in this one, especially if they are being run on the same system with the same firewall, router, etc. The fact that it works for most people tells me the issue is on the users end somewhere. If your trading with enough funds to make it worth it, grab a vps from amazon or vultr and use it to run the bot, you will have better uptime and a faster connection to the apis.

my internet connection is fast. there should be no problem
interesting behaviour of qtl bittrex-polo arb: if i leave "holdings to use" and "percentage" fields as is (with decimal part) it wont trade
if i remove decimal part and leave integer - it will do trade

maybe problem is here - how decimal part is presented - with "." or "," (english and non english windows regional settings)

My internet connection is fast as well 30/10, but I notice a big big difference when running the bot from my vps with vultr and my home system. If your not in the usa, then it doesn't matter how fast your connection is, your still further away from the vps servers and this could cause some lag and packets being dropped, every hop between you and end point is another chance for something to go wrong.  It could also be what you say about the regional settings, maybe reach out to markus via pm and see if he can shed any light, or is it possible to setup a vm and have the kb set to english and see if it works?

Maybe I'll try to set regional settings to english when I will install win10 upgrade. As for Markus- looks like he dont care about this app anymore. Last real activity was in autumn 2014

He was here about a month ago and mentioned that he was adding polo-cryptsy as an arb option because they both offer push apis, instantaneous trading rather than the current way of doing it. He has also mentioned that his day job keeps putting him on odd and long shifts, so its hard for him to dedicate the time needed to getting the next version released.

Here are 3 posts of his going from april to may of 2015. I would say that he has at least said he still cares and wants to continue development.

Well, he promise "updates next two monthes, month, week etc" since december. But nothing happens. At least that bittrex bug solved itself somehow and qtl trader still works.

I too am itching for an update, however I understand that he has a full time job that is not always conducive to working on a project like a crypto coin and trading bot.
Maybe you should relax and understand that he will get it updated when he can. I have been using this bot for a couple of months, not without issues, but it is consistently making me and others money. If your having problems, maybe look for a solution on your end, rather than bitch on a forum about the lack of an update for a "free" arbitrage/hft bot.

By the by, those bittrex issues that "magically" fixed themselves. They were caused by bittrex monkeying around with the api, they set the calls per second too low and it exacerbated a bug in the software that hopefully he will find a way to squash. The issues with bittrex only "fixed themselves" after enough people like me sent in support requests to bittrex letting them know they done gone and fucked up.
