Hi guys,
I only just now upgraded to the latest client version.
When I download the windows version however, I see a folder with two files:
- the blackcoin-qt file
- a file called "blackcoin-qt.exe.asc"
Can somebody explain to me what this second file is about and why it had two different extensions (?)
Also the file is only 1 KB in size, so can I just delete this and keep only the qt client ?
Thanks for your help !
I think is signature file to be sure you have not swapped exe file.
(if you delete it you could get warning about not signed exe. )
Ok, cool ! Thanks for explaining
I will just leave it there then.
One idea though for the DEVs, wuldn't it be better to create an auto installer (and uninstaller) for Blackcoin ?
That way new (and less tech savy) people could just download and client and have it auto installed on their systems.
I really believe our next battle is with consumer and merchant adoption and I think this would really help on the consumer side of that.
Cheers guys, I'm gonna try and buy some sub 14 K BC's for as long as it lasts (which will hopefully not be long)
But here you have
portable version no need to install it just click open and ready.
When people are making custom wallets they have to make often
more files to load new GUI eg. here in core wallet for safety you have just most important function.
Anyway code dev is focused on protocol improvements while one the way are custom wallets
with extra features and new GUI. ( Ruby wallet from Black wave labs )
Blackhalo (1st multi signature wallet in crypto / in beta )
Legionare ( anon send but i don't know where those guys go stucked )
