Hello,

I hope someone can help me  Undecided

I put quite a lot of coins on my Blackcoin Card Wallet, but now when I try to launch it from the menu.exe (the only file on the usb, no wallet.dat...), it crashes with the following message :

Has anyone encountered the same problem, and would know how I could access my coins ?

Thanks a lot !

Such an intolerable torment to watch this market...

Yeah, I've quit looking for awhile... much more enjoyable (and less depressing) to simply watch my wallet(s) staking. Smiley

Still think there won't be anything 'spectacular' occurring until we have some more real market options for using BC (as something other than merely a speculative instrument for BTC/fiat.  When more people can simply buy and sell using it as a trade vehicle and see it as a real store of value - separate from BTC - there will just continue to be lower lows posted.

And as far as selling... I bought most of mine at sub 1K prices... but there's no way in hell I'm selling at these prices. Wink

And look how hard POS coins are over jumped POW coins...
NXT BC in 5 months created a way more than ( LTC Mega PPC Nova ) in 2 years...

POS developers have bigger motivation to update stuff.
They work more like little companies.

http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/2bdub2/i_got_the_proof_that_we_are_actually_100_fine_in/

look how coins mrket was changing over time.
https://web.archive.org/web/20140429214123/http://coinmarketcap.com/

And think in scale year or two...
Selling low is not bad new people will buy BC all have their price.
LTC was too at 0.5$...

Now look at eg. Automotive market there can be many marks of cars and all live...
we are in place of building crypto companies maybe you don't see it but it has been started...
With whole POS system.

From the blog: ...I sold almost everything under 10k satoshis so I could pay bills and have cash for groceries and family expenses...

Epic sentence... I've almost start crying...
But I guess I have a bit better sentence for your next success story:
"My children were hungry... and I was forced to sell some BC for 10K and I hate myself for this couse next week it has hitted 90K !"

It was a sad month but that was also one of the major catalysts that got me back into trading and away from developing software I wasn't passionate about.  I hope to one day own 50k BC again but it will take time.  Hopefully I can help others to avoid getting eaten by whales in the meantime. =)

That's an amazing blogpost you've written. Damn. I've sent 50 BC and will maybe send that 450 later because I like beta's . why not :p

Whoa! Thank you so much!

If you are really doing like you told in your blog then free advise: Please visit the head doctor until is not too late... Wink
No one with healthy mind will risk family wealthness like you are telling in your "success" story Wink

And I'm about pretty sure we'll c 10K or less untill end of the summer, or mid Autumn. And it's not only about BC,
it's about many other alt coins as well. There's almost minimal to no demand at the moment and I guess it will
last for some time. It's obvious. And it does not makes sense to pump the coin when there's no buyers.
So I guess even with some pump you won't c more than 30K soon. I did not say never Wink
But I'll wait for 8K to buy some BC's...

people like you are waiting for or predicting "sub 10k" since april now and were soooo certain that it must happen soon....
Virtually nobody can sell at that level without heavy loss anymore - unless they bought in march or earlier, never bought more at higher prices and then patiently waited for the worst possible time to sell. And with all the coins staking and not even moving to the exchanges while just a handful of people and the fucking bots are selling right now... good luck. I will join you buying sub 10k should it happen, but i rather think you will never hold BC again if you wait for that.

Great article !
I like your enthusiasm some day people will woke up and see why Blackcoin is still on top with active dev.
Rat4 attitude is great he don’t watch price chart he is happy from upgrading Blackcoin.
They can be few POS main players why not I just want to be coins with something new not just to easy BC copy with “X”
Feature but rely push POS forward. I want people realize that BS on coins which was their origin is no good too.
Reason why I have chosen BC was pure POS original active.

Anyway all markets are manipulated add value of all top 20 on market cap and you will understand that we are in place where many people were scammed
Whales broken many “hearts” and slowly get +100% in week is getting over.
After that kind of storm will come time for looking after good coins I believe BC will be one of them.
Price 90k 250 people on irc  price 15k 225 people on irc after 3months…  to be fair all looks good.

I see that people needs that BC centric exchange after Mintpal fail.

PS: If some one wanted ever buy cheap BC for long haul today between 8k-15k is good day.

Hello, everyone.  This is my first post on bitcointalk and it's basically just to link to my blog post about Blackcoin.  Since this is my first post, I'm not sure the link will even show up but I'll try anyways.  Please comment or follow me on Twitter @YesCrypto if you find any value in what I write.

blackcoin.yescrypto.com

It's a pretty long post, like a small book, and I didn't even mention all of the newest things the Blackcoin community has recently released but hopefully some people will find it informative or a nice read.  Feel free to skip past my personal BC story and go straight to the Blackcoin Pros to read the actually informative stuff.  I hope I don't offend anyone with some of the critical comments I make in the post but they're meant to be constructive as I really see Blackcoin succeeding in the long run.

A little bit about myself...I pay the bills and feed my family by trading, and investing in, altcoins.  I write my own trading software which I will eventually release for free when I have enough time to finish it.  I also write trading bots for myself that follow rules I set after doing lots of research.  My trading software will eventually incorporate a lot of these rules but since most of my time is spent researching and watching charts/order-books, it's taken me a lot longer than I'd hoped.

I'm no whale but I'm consistently profitable week after week.  I'll be aiming to write at least once a week about coins I trade to hold long-term along with my reasoning and price points for trading.  I make the majority of my money from intraday trading coins-of-the day or week but for the coins I see a future in, I'll reinvest my profits back into the coin to ride the larger, longer waves and increase my total holdings.

Hoping to see great things happening here!

Mintpal! What a crook! I placed an order yesterday at 0.00015020 and the price only dropped 1 point higher than my order. The next orders are at 0.00015300~ before I logout and just monitor it at bitcoinwisdom. Few minutes later, I noticed it got dumped and someone magically appeared at  0.00015021. The buy orders was thin because it was dumped recently up to 0.00015018..
I wonder how someone could possibly place a buy order faster than the guy selling BTC and catch his dump. Roll Eyes

Hello everyone FrozenBit is doing an AMA on BlackCoin Reddit,

I am joined by Calvin Harris (CEO, FrozenBit), Cole Hudson (Public Relations, cole_frozenbit), Jeff Beaver (Lead User Interactions, BeaverCL) for the next couple days to answer all your questions regarding the exciting online secure wallet, www.frozenbit.io.

-----------

What is FrozenBit?

It is an online wallet with secure features including 2-Factor Authentication as well as multi signature keys which are created locally. Another exciting feature is the "Proof of Reserve" which essentially allows you to send a confirmation that a certain amount of funds are actually in your account as proof to someone else.

-----------

Why is this great for BlackCoin?

With the upcoming BlackCoin 2.0 staking security, it requires you to be connected to the internet all the time to help secure the BlockChain as well as to reap the benefits of staking the 1% interest.

The problem is, some users can not have their wallets open all the time and are afraid of putting their BlackCoin in an online wallet as it may be hacked as seen with DogeVault. With FrozenBit, this will ensure that your coins are safe as only you can have the keys to your vault.

Best way to think of it, it's like getting a safety deposit vault from the bank where only you have the keys. Someone can break into the bank, but they can not access the vault.

----------

The BlackCoin devs, Foundation, and myself are very excited for this service.

Also, you can donate to FrozenBit to help them upgrade their servers for BlackCoin with the following donation links:
