U got bamboozled and ripped like a boy in 2014, u got to prison and was released on parole. Two years on u found urself in a mexican cartel in a bondage. That is when they took advantage of u. At least presently you can say for yourself that everything that happened was in the dire past and now you have back your happy life in the US. But let me tell you, the guys at BTER exchange (do you remember that one  Grin) still remember you guys and they are still searching for the perpetrators of that scam. Or for the scapegoat. U know what I mean.  Wink

-Testnet hard fork: Enabled relative timelocks (OP_CHECKSEQUENCEVERIFY, BIP62, 112 and 113)
-Enabled compact block relay protocol (BIP152)
-Added an option to donate a specified percentage of staking rewards to the dev fund (20% by default)

Hi I have a suggestion that you shouldn't remove timestamp completely... isn't it used for stakes to increase security? Also it would make force a Halo software update. I think instead just do the following: Require stakes to have timestamp set correctly and any other TX allow timestamp set to zero... this way the field is never removed. Integration into NT can happen since NT can just set 0 for timestamp.

Time is recursive. On a long enough time scale u will forget the disarming grief from losing to yet another coin in the internet space of today which is choke full of low quality and irrelevant things.

How was it possible to have "wrapped blackcoin" if BLK has not forked? What is the process to burn to wrapped chain? Is there a way to go from Binance back to BLK?

There is a bridge that wraps BLK into wBLK on the BSC chain.https://wrapping.services/get/blk/

The native coins are held in a 2-3 multisig wallet.

Hi David,

The removal of the tx field is based on PPC proposal 14 : https://github.com/peercoin/rfcs/blob/master/text/0014-transaction-timestamp/0014-transaction-timestamp.md

We couldn't find a security reason not to implement this feature. And therefore it is currently implemented on testnet. Please let us know what you see a technical/security reason not to implement it on mainnet.

About Blackhalo. This client stopped syncing a few years ago, because the daemon was never updated. The focus was always Blackcoin More as full node and Electrum-BLK as lightweight wallet.

we would love to see Blackcoin More integrated into Blackhalo and release an updated version (maybe even a Python3 version?). Feel free to reach out, there are always people in the community willing to help

Its been a while since we have had an update about Blackcoin. Now would be a great time to shed some light on Blackcoin's recent accomplishments and future goals.

Blackcoin now has an Electrum wallet! The electrum wallet is a lightweight Bitcoin client(wallet) released in November 2011. That makes electrum one of the oldest and most trusted crypto wallets.
Electrum is an important addition to Blackcoin because it has allowed us to integrate into the hardware wallet world.
An example of successful hardware integration through electrum would be the development of our BLK-friendly Trezor plugin. Moving forward the obvious goal is to continue hardware integration with ledger, keepkey and any other compatible wallets.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Electrum is a list of features the electrum wallet brings to Blackcoin.

We have wrapped-Blackcoin(0xd2cdfd5d26dfa1d11116b9ed7dbd7c6b88c6e1d3) available on Binance smart chain with hopes to expand to Polygon(matic) and beyond.

We have expanded our trading environment with listings at:
Bittrex - BLK/BTC
Xeggex.com (pronounced ZEG-EX) - BLK/BTC BLK/USDT BLK/USDC
Freixlite - BLK/LTC
Atomic dex - BLK/ anything
Pancake swap - WBLK-BUSD WBLK/BNB

Wrapping up 2022 we plan to use our exceptional media and marketing team to inform the rest of the Blackcoin community of our short and long term goals plans in real time.  We realize communication is key to the development of Blackcoin so we will be putting an emphasis on communication in the short term. Although it may seem repetitive I assure you we are just working to create good habits for the community.

If there are any questions or you would like to meet the BLK team please stop by Discord. I am sure someone has time to talk Blackcoin.  (http://discord.blackcoin.nl/)

important message by a newbie... who can confirm?
two4ten is a member of Blackcoin community.
I confirm what he said:
We have Electrum wallet. Trezor integration is on the way, Ledger will be worked on.
We have Wrapped Blackcoin on BSC chain: https://bscscan.com/token/0xd2cdfd5d26dfa1d11116b9ed7dbd7c6b88c6e1d3
List of exchanges also seem to be correct (OP should be updated with this information but unfortunately we don't have an access to it at moment).
Marketing... I'd say there should be a bit more marketing Smiley

It is planned to execute a hard fork on Blackcoin network to implement the following changes to protocol:
  • Remove transaction timestamp
  • Increase transaction fees and set minimum transaction fee of 0.001 BLK
  • Enable BIP 62, 112 and 113 (relative timelocks, OP_CHECKSEQUENCEVERIFY)

It is not scheduled for the mainnet yet. However, the fork has already been successfully activated on a testnet on 7 Nov 2022.
