OK
that OpenSSL version is in desperate need of update.

many bug fixes and security patches since 1.0.1k

https://www.openssl.org/news/changelog.html#x8

OpenSSL version is on its latest release for Pi processors architecture under Debian Jessie systems.

It is not a security risk at all on the contrary, sometimes we think newer is better but that turns out not true lot of the times because the new features they introduce there is a risk of new vulnerabilities as well. 1.0.1k is the most stable/tested/secure version for Pi devices so far.

Security risks are mainly with old OpenSSL versions with discovered hearthbleed exploits.

We update openSSL versions to the latest stable/tested release for Pi devices as soon as they are officially released.

Hope the info helps.

"Bitcoin and BlackCoin are the supported cryptocurrencies. Thanks to low fees, it is possible to sell files for prices as low as 0.001 BTC or 1 BLK. Although Bitcoin fees are currently higher than BlackCoin’s, Myto plans to lessen this disproportion when the Bitcoin Classic fork is adopted and higher block size will make network transaction fees lower."

interesting stuff
are you planning for payment processor for stores ?
i want to open a store and accept BLK

Support for arbitrary payments is being considered, although it is not a feature planned for the initial release.

I tested one of the demos (the nice picture), is it instant TX or because BLK's chain is fast?
sent payment from my blackcoin's laptop, when i went back to my other laptop payment already confirmed

good work

It would be difficult to do in a safe way as your private key is needed to mine a block. The simplest way to increase regularity is to… buy more BLK. Wink
Mine hasnt staked for weeks but its a really iffy wifi connection thanks to big old house walls.   Does it matter much if it reconnects a few times a day, not sure if connectivity or bandwidth would effect it

That node stuff should go in code tags (or any big quote tbh) btw, less spammy

Is there a possibility to stake BLK in a pool somewhere ?

I mean something legit, not a shadow company Cheesy

I have a few in my wallet and I stake from time to time, but I wouldn't be against a little more regularity Cheesy

It would be difficult to do in a safe way as your private key is needed to mine a block. The simplest way to increase regularity is to… buy more BLK Wink

I was thinking about something like Just-Dice for clams but without the gambling aspect. Something or someone trustable enough to whom you could send your blackcoin and receive your "share" of the staking reward.

Maybe it will be easier to buy a little more BLK Cheesy

usually 24/7 unless there is internet or power problems. which is rare
i != shady company Smiley
you will get your coins back unless i'm dead. or i can send you the wallet private key and then no worry

if you have cheap or old laptop you can install linux, and connect 24/7 ?
