Hi all, what's the safest way to claim btcp if someone has bitcoin on Trezor? I think it is not safe to claim with private key, so what's the alternative? Trezor can be reset but is so much work to do and better to avoid.. Someone can suggest me the safest and fastest  way? Thanks
The only way if you don't want to use your privates keys if to wait that Trezor support the Bitcoin Private fork.
If they don't support Bitcoin Private, there is no other way to use your private key(s) and then you have to be very safe about what wallet you use (the one of Bitcoin team of an other, with good trust).

What are the actual risks you are running into when trying to claim your Bitcoin Private with your private keys?

There are always risks if you show/give your private key to some untrusted wallets.. They could steal all your money with your privatekey.. It is not 100% safe to use privatekey on myetherwallet, imagine to do it in some unknown wallets..
Btw i really doubt Trezor will support it.

One question, I had a few BTC on the binance exchange on the fork date, will I get some BTCP for it? Or binance didn't support the fork?

Binance didn't support the fork, so no BTCP for Binance holdings.

Yes, really shxtty stuff, there are other issues like https://github.com/BTCPrivate/BitcoinPrivate/issues/124

More funny in https://github.com/BTCPrivate/bitcoin-private-full-node-wallet/issues/32 is:

"balances from fork need to be sent in full to a Z address before being able to be spent normally.
provide more user-friendly error message when attempted."

I have some hard time to believe it, why? requirement of their wallet only? save some time before it is sent to an exchange? Then please someone try my tool, there are no reasons why you should send your coins to a z-address first

PS: and indeed we can't trust their explorer, whether down, not showing the utxos before the fork when up or strange info (intentional?)

This is how Z coins work. You have to put freshly mined coins to Z address before you can transfer them. You are promoting your tool just because you want that 1.5% fee from people using it. Official wallet can be trusted there is no doubt about that. If you don't trust the developers, why would you want coin they created?

Apparently you are affiliated to the BTCP team to promote (agressively) things (again, please stop), I don't care of the 1.5%, neither of this coin, the tool is just an alternative for people not to  be fxcked by rules they did not decide and manage things by themselves, just curious about what is going on here, the wallet is a piece of shxt, the explorer the same, read again my article on the subject and you will find quite a lot of similarities

Yes, but that's not what we are talking about here, we are talking about transferring coins from before the fork to after the fork, or from after to after, but not about reward coins

Is it safe now to get BTCP from bitcoin addresses? Which wallet should one use to accomplish this?
Wonder what the market cap will be when it lists for trading.. perhaps many exchanges will support this on launch like BTCG

Prefork to coin is considered as "freshly mined coin", this rule doesn't solely apply to mined coins. All new coins that have to be deposited in Z first.
If you don't care about the 1.5% fee, why you are constantly promoting your tool? How could people trust random guys tool more than official wallet? If you don't care about the fee, neither the coin, why you keep posting here?

I am not affiliated to BTCP in any matter. Well basically I am, since I'm mining it and have some coins. These are the affiliations I have, so no connection to BTCP team.
BTCP team has released steps for march and some of these issues are listed there. Give it some time and take it easy, things don't happen in minutes. There is also BTCP support page where you can ask help.

Bought Zcl when it was 0.014 sat, the RSI was bellow 20, now it worth 0.00067 sat, haven't yet got my Btcp from Bittrex, thank you Btcp am now poor

This leads me to believe that they are working with Kucoin and Bittrex to get BTCP to the ppl who held ZCL at the time of the snap shot. So be patient. I mean, BTCP isn't even trading yet.

I got my ZCL around the same price. IMMEDIATELY I transferred my ZCL to me electrum wallet because I found that not many exchanges weren't supporting the fork. Don't trust any exchange. It's always better to hold your crypto in a desktop wallet app instead of on a website exchange. Unfortunately my 9-5 didn't allow me the time to sell my ZCL before the dump. So I hope BTCP will at rise greatly...

And you know, it just might be a good idea to keep stakin up on ZCL on this dip. Who knows what the next fork will bring? 100x, 1000x, 1m... x? XD

LOL 100X, now I'm feeling like Nero, I enjoy watching my money burning

When will be first exchange ? we need to know if the mining i profitability because the difficult is so high.

I want to know it too. Because we need to have at least estimate what our mined amounts will worth. Otherwise I will switch to another coins...

Just FYI, I mined for several hours yesterday, and did calculations on the assumed value.  Based on the current reward and difficulty miners are willing to mine the coin, and assuming the average of the top 10 most profitable options for miners, I calculated that miners value BTCP at about $157.  Mining is a real market, so I expect BTCP to open at least in the ballpark of this number.

wow just wait a little bit more. Patience, please. Bitcoin private is not listed yet.
I am not saying the price will go to the moon after exchange but 0.006 BTC is also not a real price.

Someone is really buying and someone is really selling at that price. You do not need an exchange for price discovery. Granted, this discovery is currently poor for a lack of trades, but it's a lot more meaningful than a price entertained in somebody's imagination.

0.0002

If you think so, then place a [WTB] bid. I doubt you'll find any sellers for awhile...
I think it will go higher than 25.00 for sure when on exchanges but even .006 atm is very decent. Worth mining again if that sticks or higher.  Smiley

Legionar has been guessing at 25.00 with nothing to back it up... blowing smoke lol
