So what is the best way to take advantage of this, most of my money is on hitbtc & binance.  Is it enough to just buy and hold ZCL on one of these two exchanges during the snapshot or do I need to do something with this Electrum wallet?

I have a Ledger Nano S, but I wouldn't be able to move the ZCL to it could I?  (not sure if it's supported)

Also, couldn't it be expected that the exchanges that currently hold ZCL would participate?

ZCL is not being traded on HitBTC or Binance. And the exchanges that trade ZCL have not released any statement regarding supporting / not supporting the fork. So your best bet right now is to download the Swing wallet and keep your coins in that. Also save your private keys, they may be handy for importing in BTCP wallet once the fork is complete.

Ok I'm setting up to buy it all on cryptopia and then transfer to a wallet.

Is the Swing wallet the Eleos ZClassic wallet the first post in this thread links to or is it something different?  I'm working on installing that one now. I know the "official" Electrum wallet isn't finished yet

Gotta say i'm a little jealous of this fork since I never got ZCL but i'm hoping BTCP starts off at a low price. Still don't think its better than Verge but always great to have more options and competition. May even give a boost to Verge once more people realize that Verge is still better.

Bitcoin Private will use Equihash, not Sha256 like bitcoin.
So Bitcoin Private should transact in the zone of less than 3 minutes.
Bitcoin is in the zone of 30 minutes.

SO, Bitcoin Private will be 10x faster!

Privacy is one aspect but the speed of transactions is of a great importance. How many tx/sec it would able to handle? If this baby is such slow as btc then it is not for me.

It will definitely be faster than BTC and im pretty sure faster than bch as well

Will Zclassic still be developed on as a project after the fork?

Adding Zclassic and BTC supply is a great way to get to 21 million supply. I hope more forks adopt this method.

Look interesting about ZCL and Bitcoin fork. I cant wait more info how and when thats will happen, i also hope there will be tutorial to claim BTCP. I'll try to buy some ZCL but i see today price jump around 15%, may be its because this info (fork).

This tweet made the price go up. Imagine what happens when they release the date Smiley

but they still need to release a working wallet.

For ZCL, we have swing and eleos wallets. For BTCP, the team is working on elwctrum. However keep in mind that in order to take the snapshot for hard fork you don't need a wallet. Only a block height of BTC blockchain needs to be determined and the wallet can follow later. (BTG and BTD were released same way. There was no working wallet at the time of snapshot)

but there is still no really usable OSX ZCL wallet out. with this eleos wallet is not even possible to copy addresses in the wallet.

do i need to put 1zcl in public address wallet or private address wallet?
please reply asap.

You need to get your fundamentals in order. Use Google to understand the difference between Public address and Private key.

this question is not stupid. this is an important question.

do the coins have to be in transparent (public) or private (private) addresses. this needs to be answered.

Oh I probably got the question wrong. I thought he was asking about the public key / private key scenario, not t-address and z-address.

I am assuming it makes no difference tbh, but I'm keeping my coins in a t-address. The devs should be able to answer to be 100% sure.
