I have a request. I need an animated gif image madeof the BTQ coin rotating/spinning so I can use it for the payment processing page of the BTQ Auction website. You can post the image on here or email it to me at [email protected]

Got this email today from Comkort.com :

Hello, BitQuark dev!
Your coin is being traded on Comkort exchange!
Starting November 4th, 2014 we are launching Fiat trading in Beta, which we believe will promote BitQuark trading.
We kindly ask you to help us make an announcement of the new service to your users through social media that you employ! We believe that it will be mutually beneficial to Comkort and your coin

In order to plan the timing, we ask you to post the news on November 3rd!

Please let us know is we can count on your support!

Regards, Comkort dev team!

This is good, now we will be able to buy BTQ with fiat! No more buying BTC and then trading them for BTQ Smiley
I will email them to see what kind of payment system they will be using to transfer fiat to BTQ.

Thanks,
BTQ Dev

I have been mining solo for a few days now and keep getting an error.

 "not providing work fast enough"

what does it mean and how do I stop it?

Outsider

It's really nothing to worry about. It just means you need to tune your queue time. You want to try and get it as low as possible without receiving the "not providing work fast enough" error. you can change it by setting the switch -Q 15 in your miners BAT file. Just play around with the number value to see which one works best for you.

UPDATE: Just wanted to keep everyone up to date on the progress of the BitQuark Auction site. I was going to setup the payment processing through C-Cex's Merchant API, but due to some issues, I am currently writing a script for payment processing through the BTQ daemon. I about about complete with the setup and coding, so beta testing should be ready really soon! Smiley

Thanks,

I've never been much into mining coins, I usually buy low sell high or hold to use.  Is there a hashrate chart for bitquark anywhere?  I have an old desktop with a nvidia gforce 210 graphics card in it.  I doubt I could mine much with it, but thought it could help to support the network.

I have faith that eventually there will be a turning point where more people want bitquark than there are those that have it.
I agree. And this is when the script kiddies kick themselves in the @$$ for wasting all their time on $hitcoins because the net worth of some of us who fully understand the bigger picture for crypto gets a slight boost, and they get left holding the bag.  Success is the best revenge. Cool

This is what happens when 'kids' get involved with cryptos. Like you said, they do more damage than good with their pump and dumps to gain BTC's. I wish there were a way to stop them from doing this, but I haven't got a clue to how. I guess it's a novelty to them and a way to increase their fiat.

There won't be a way to prevent this, just like you can't prevent me from mining bitquark and selling them for doge (don't worry, I wouldnt.)

What we can do is move towards using bitquark exclusively and further build a positive community.

Here's what I can do locally with bitquark, not online, locally:

Right now, I can buy food (not much but it's a start).
Right now, I can get together with a few people and gamble with it.
Right now, I can sell stuff to a few people for bitquark.

I have faith that eventually there will be a turning point where more people want bitquark than there are those that have it.

Ever since ccminer 1.0 came out and the nVidia camp was boasting of their great conquest I've been GPU mining solo with two GT640 at about 750Kh/s ea. I'd like to know if v1.2 is any faster so last night I asked the question over in that thread. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9320443  Totally ignored, it's already buried with posts from all the script kiddies obsessed with making, pumping, dumping and abandoning more and more shitcoins. Are they really making any money doing that? Don't they understand how much more harm than good they leave in their wake with the damage they inflict on the public image of crypto currency in general? Angry

{sigh} Rant over. Anyone else mining with ccminer/nVidia that can shed any light on my question?

I have at BAT file available for download with a good configuration for SGMiner located on the "Getting Started" page http://104.131.69.47/pools/btq/index.php?page=gettingstarted

This is whats in the BAT file. It's for AMD R9-280X GPU's:
Code:
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
color 0a
sgminer -k quarkcoin -o stratum+tcp://104.131.69.47:6010 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p pass -I 13 --gpu-powertune -10 --no-submit-stale --auto-fan -s 1 -E 1 --remove-disabled --gpu-platform 0 --shaders 2048,2048,2048,2048 --lookup-gap 2 -g 1 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500,1500,1500 --gpu-engine 1100,1100,1100,1100

Oh, okay, I'll come play in your sandbox for a while. LOL!

No --difficulty-multiplier I take it?

That's right, on the GPU pool there's no need for the difficulty-multiplier Smiley

lol ok...I upgraded from 12.xx to 14.19 and my hashrate went from 2MH/s to 2.5MH/s with Intensity set at 13 per-card. So that's a pretty nice improvement :-)
Okay, I straightened out my confusion. Apparently fglrx is 14.10 and the version I'm using is 14.4. The sgminer download link was a winblows binary but I found the source code link to github. Going to try and build it on Xubuntu 12.04. Trusty is still not too trustworthy.

Kool deal...after you get it setup, come on over to the GPU pool and help me out with mining some good ol' BTQ's Smiley
sph-sgminer 4.1.153 remains at the same rate with the new ATI driver but I've got a 27% increase in hash rate right out of the gate with the new miner and all the same parameters I was using before. Simply awesome! I wonder if there's more to be gained by going through the optimization procedure from soup to nuts again or just let it go as is?

So you need some help, eay? Hmmmmm. I'll have to think about that. Been doing pretty well solo.  Grin

I've setup an additional BTQ Pool for GPU miners located here http://104.131.69.47/pools/btq/index.php
I'd like to keep the BTQ Pool located at http://pool.bitquark.info for CPU's only.

The Catalyst drivers for Linux are up to 14.9 now. Has this been tested with the new sgminer? or should I focus mainly on the 14.4 release?

It works great with 14.9 drivers. That's what I'm running it with, no problems at all and getting great hashrates.
Okay. Bye bye 14.10. Hello 14.19. I'll keep you posted! If it blows up IT'S YOUR FAULT!

EDIT: Wait just one second! It looks like I'm already running one version newer than the current release! My catalyst control center says I'm using driver 14.10.1006-140417a-171101C? I'm confused.
