First you must delete the old Bytecent.exe from where it is currently installed. It should be located in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bytecent

After you delete the old Bytecent.exe replace it with the Bytecent.exe from the zip file.

Hello all!

Unfortunately I am still waiting for our new code sign certificate. However, I decided to upload the new wallet with the unrestricted miner so you guys can start using it now. You can download the update here: http://bytecent.com/download/bytecent.zip

Just delete your old Bytecent.exe and replace it with the Bytecent.exe in the zip.

This update removes all mining restrictions, just enter the captcha code and click the start button. You will mine indefinitely.

You will receive a warning about the file, but the exe is 100% safe like with every previous updates. Once we are issued our new code sign certificate I will release a full update.

You should move your coins over to Stex or your personal desktop wallet, Bittrex didn't give me an ETA on when the wallet will be deactivated.
Bittrex invited us to relist and I will relist after I fix everything I listed in my post from several days ago. However, the point I have been making is we no longer need to "beg" exchanges to get listed, we can buy our way onto most exchanges.

Hello everyone!

Each morning around this time I will post daily updates here, and soon I will make similar announcements using the official Bytecent Twitter account.

All of us will benefit from having Bytecent listed on multiple exchanges, and unlike in the past we can now buy our way onto almost any exchange we want.

As I stated yesterday I am done testing the new miner with the restrictions removed, and I am just waiting on our new code sign certificate. I can't release the update without a valid code sign certificate, people using new versions of Windows might receive warnings/errors without it. As soon as the new code sign certificate is issued, I will release the Bytecent update

I welcome anyone to setup telegram or something similar for BYC if they want. However, I am not fond of IRC, Telegram, Discord...etc. Soon I will be making regular updates using the official Bytecent Twitter account.

Hello everyone!

I spoke to Stex this morning and our market is ready to go live. They are just waiting for payment from our community to open the market. They gave me a fresh BTC address for donations and someone suggested we use Tally so it is easier for our community to track the donations. Note: The BTC addressed used for the donations belongs to Stex and any donations made will go directly to Stex.

Note: Although our block times are approximately 1 min, it can take up to 60 mins before your transaction receives the first confirmation, so please be patient!

I will have Stex post their BTC address for listing fee donations. The faster we raise the 1 BTC for the listing fee, the faster the market will open.

After trading on Stex goes live, I will list several exchanges we can vote on. The exchange with the most votes will be the next exchange we go to get listed.
