The linux source is broken. Waiting on a fix. We are trying to hammer out the issue here otherwise a pool would have been up already.

Just continually trying connection... connection timed out once it reaches its 3 peers that its willing to connect to.

Forget about getting a pool if the linux source doesnt work.

Wonderful idea Allison but don't we need paper wallets for that first?

Someone should go around California and post some of those paper wallets that the mysterious Dogecoin guy did! I think that would generate a lot of buzz for this coin!

Also go to a couple colleges and get the word out about CaliforniaCoin get some people to use their college networks to mine super fast lol we need some publicity 

Difficulty increased but still able to find blocks  can't wait for the pool to be done I think it'll help this community grow a lot.

im officially stumped. still cant get the wallet to sync, hopefully someone with more linux experience can take a look at the src on github asap.

ok so I just did a test with LTC and its downloading blocks perfectly. now that I know its not my system, I will try calicoin again..

This coin is based on LTC so whatever would work for LTC should in theory work for CaliforniaCoin granted there are no errors anywhere

We? Would you mind letting me know what you have done thus far to get the source working? I literally have a pool ready to go. Its live and waiting, and the stratum is configured. The damn daemon wont sync to the network.

Could you let us in on some info? It does not make sense that the windows wallet works but your source compiled on linux shits the bed.

Tried compiling with that command, and without. Both give the same errors. The source does not want to download the chain or sync to the network.

We're still working on the first pool everybody we should have everything ready to go very very soon we thank you all for your patience 

I have a question... what command did you use when compiling? and is "USE_UPNP=-" needed when compiling? all LTC daemon tuts I see show this command after the make command. Just something I noticed..?
