Excuse me if I'm wrong but don't more than 85 - 90% of all people use Windows, so why is the linux wallet should an issue?

After talking to dev on Skype, it seems he isn't much of a linux guy, can't blame him I'm not eithor.

Eithor way this coin has huge potential once the little problems are resolved.

Take a look back 15 pages we had people that were on all different forks that got resolved pretty quickly and now mining is a lot smoother although a lot more harder to find blocks lol good sign in a way that people are willing to throw their equipment hashpower on this

I can see this going very far 2 - 3 - 6 months down the road the people that are hating will be the same people that jump ship when they see this coin hits the exchanges and starts becoming worth real money.

OK Dev, here are some questions...

1) Where do you really live?
2) Did you just copy/paste this coin?
3) How much in coins was the premine?
4) Are you going to dump and run as soon as this coin hits and exchange?
5) How do you plan on maintaining this coin?

I'm really starting to worry, a DEV who doesn't know linux?  Avoids answering questions about implementing features?  I have seen way too many scam coins there the DEV, Kept the IPO, kept and dumped the premine, opened a pool just to have it die with eveyones coins.  Yes, I'm a bit gunshy.

I can try to help answering some of these questions after speaking with the co-maker of the coin.    The creator of this coin hired someone to make the coin.  As far as the premine goes, I'm not even sure there was one.   He released the coin while pre-mining apparently and didn't get a chance to even get 100k worth of coins.

So as far as pump and dump and pre-mine scam.  I couldn't see how.

I think what would be a good idea is that the people who are invested in this coin help create a community wallet we can pay out bounties for things we need.  First things first a pool.

I know there are several people investing time to help but I'm afraid we lack the experience.

Born and raised in California sadly I had to move to Arizona due to work.

2. No

3. Under 1.5% pre-mine check the OP it's been updated.

4. No, this coin is around to stay for many many years.

5. With the help and support of this growing community of course! We're going to setup a faucet shortly after we get on the exchanges so more people can receive their CaliforniaCoins!

Yeah california isn't that friendly when it comes to jobs sorry to hear you had to move. If I can help you with the faucet let me know I got a 100K coins I'll donate

I think I know what's happening here the guys that do know how to run linux are keeping it a secret so they can mine solo with their 4 x 280x's

I was soloing with 6 280x's and it's starting to get tough!!  Even though the hash rate is dropping the DIFF is staying the same.  But with Windows

Why don't the people that are having trouble using the linux wallet, try using the windows wallet on an windows emulator?

That should work  Grin

The biggest think is it needs to compile for a pool to be set up.  Without a working linux source you can't have a pool.

What I don't understand is that the network hashrate is way down, but the DIFF hasn't dropped.  I think they have to drop the re-target time for the DIFF.

Wait is this coin even KGW?  If not this coin is just going to be raped by ASIC.

ASIC people won't even bother unless this coin gets on an exchange and starts to do something.  Then you will get the attention of the multipools.  Right now this coin offers nothing, no pools, no working linux wallet, maybe no future.

The point being they can point their ASIC miners at this coin for an hour at low difficulty and get a massive % of the coin as the coin has no algo to fight back.

But why would they do that now?  Someone spends $25,000 on an ASIC farm, they aren't going to waste it on this coin.  They want something that they can make BTC on.  The whole object return on investment is wasted on this coin.

If they DEV would have had a plan, a timed release, pools and exchanges lined up they would have been all over this coin.  But right now, the linux wallet isn't even working.  The net hashrate is 10 Mh/s, unless the DEV gets his act together and fixes this coin it's going to end up with all the other coins that DIED!!!

I don't see anything that would cause the Linux wallet not to work. Although I'm not a Linux guy, please if you see something that would prevent it from working, post it here, fix it, we can award you with some bounties. CaliforniaCoin is only as good as the people make it. We the people from California will take this coin very very far.
