This coin is purely Proof-of-Stake at this point, in order to perform the equivalent of mining you will need to acquire some CCN and begin staking with your wallet. More details on staking can be found here: http://www.cannacoin.cc/Cannacoin_PoSV_FAQ.pdf

I also believe there is a pool available that will allow payouts in CCN but you would be mining other networks.  The mining service will exchange those secondary coins for CCN and formulate a return based on hashpower.

i also tryed  setgenerate true -1  in the wallet to test cpu mining but not effect  cpu is idle

Regarding "sluggish" blockchain times this is directly related to the number of wallets online staking and not something related to the core code of the protocol itself.  Block times will increase as the number of wallets staking reduces, this just makes sense and is actually is a good thing in terms of saving potentially "wasted" energy on generating unnecessary blocks when there are 0 transactions or transactions are limited to a few per block.  On the contrary if more users start staking the network will reach its targeted 60 second block times since the ratio of difficulty is directly related to "stake weight" aka total online staking amount.



I am still here as lead (SubCreative) and monitor the network daily, any projects related to protocol updates I will be here to support along with any community development requests or issues. I started this network and has been living strong since it's inception, It be a lifelong project that stays with me until it dies or I do.

The development team and myself personally are here to support this coin when and if there are specific projects the community would like to see development for.  Currently there has not been enough support behind development for myself personally to invest the 12+ hour days I have been spending on this coin for the last 12+ months.  I will continue to be here to support the explorer, irc bots, market tickers, faucets and other services and hope to see further support build behind this coin in terms of development besides myself. 

At this time I believe there is no current no need for "Development" to the protocol of Cannacoin as we spent almost the entire last year applying changes and switching to POS.  if and when a need for a protocol update exists we will work to bring things up to speed but for now, we have what I believe to be the most solid blockchain foundation for any cannabis related coin as well as the most developed projects and open sourced code available for public use.   

Let me remind folks that because you don't see Cannacoin account posting daily on Bitcointalk does not mean we are not actively engaged in development behind the scenes or participating at moving this network forward.  This is not a centralized project controlled or being organized/run by a single individual, we encourage anyone and everyone to actively supporting this coin to do your part and help promote and participate in the growth of this project.  This is a decentralized network open sourced and freely available to the people engage and participate as well as choose what the outcome is.  We're years ahead of our time with a plenty of brainpower and development skills at the helm, it's just a matter of application and time.

Side Note: I was recently contacted by the Coinomi folks to host the Cannacoin coinomi server and I will be moving things over as soon as I have some further details.  I will keep everyone posted on the progress as we switch over ownership to the team. If anyone else is interested in hosting a server please contact us.

so, after months of silence, it was decided to remove all posts from outsiders, leaving nothing more than the ramblings and empty promises of the CCN team and the handful of the cheerleaders they duped into believing they would actually do more than let this coin whither away and die like all the other abandoned scam-coin projects out there.


so many questions.... apparently, given the reality of the situation which we're forced to accept, no one seems to give a sh!t enough about CCN to ask.


feel free to mod-away this posting, but only do it if there's actually something positive and worthwhile coming from CCN.  If there's nothing on the adoption / development side of things, quit modding the posts of your most critical followers; otherwise, you're just perpetuating the farce that CCN is actually a cannabis-crypto worth following.

Most of us have avoided posting here because of the trolls. It would be nice to get this thread active again. A few of my posts went bye bye because they were quoted by trolls. no big.

Anything new going on with CCN?

It secures the network as well against a 51% attack. Most alt coins are now going by the POW > POS/POSv model

It's early on in crypto. bitcoin is losing users interest. In 1 to 3 years CCN could be huge!

CCN is now PoSV which means you mine coins by staking. You buy some coins, load up the wallet and leave it on. You can PoSV mine many different coins on the same computer with little power. It's a very environmentally friend coin.

Cannacoin multipool allows people to mine by using what algorithm they want and receive Cannacoins as well, as reward. Beside, have to admit that it bring out the impressive parameters of activities, with high rate of specifications. It's launched well and run pretty good, but is hard i think to come in the top because of so much competition existing already.
