Cryptsy is back on-line - deposits, withdrawals, and trading are back.
Most of the OP has been updated and is believed correct. The info on block explorers is not correct, however. Here is the correct info:

so...cryptsy doesnt let me deposit till today and other exchanges are unsafe also...

We just did a code update (go back a page for more info). We asked all of the exchanges to stop deposits/withdrawals until the code was updated. My test deposit to Cryptsy landed and is in my account - I expect they'll be back on-line very soon.thats always good...
Cryptsy was the only exchange that responded in any way, and the only exchange that took responsible actions. More exchanges is not better - especially when we've got a 'good one' on the side of the CAT community.

Cryptsy: As reported earlier, they are still trading CAT, but they have stopped deposits/withdrawals until they update the code. I have informed them that the code's available and they have responded to the support ticket - but there is no indication that they have completed the update and my test deposits are still in limbo.
We have also informed the other pools and exchanges but have not received a response from them.
If you are going to mine, check the pool's block information and cross-check it with the info found on http://www.catstat.info/ - this always reports the current block.

Catchain.info "was" working for one day, then they reverted back to the wrong chain. No idea why. A 2ndary working block-explorer is in the works... ETA, no idea. :/
