The Facebook page has been updated with new info. I'll be posting some lolcats and such to generate new content. Also, we're still discussing fork options, and are open to suggestions from the community.

As a starting point. We're talking about once again modifying the diff recalculation algorithm. The best suggestion we've see so far is to re-target the difficulty EVERY block and take an average of the previous 36 blocks to allow the diff to step up and down, but much more quickly than it does now. This would eliminate the jumpiness we see now.To our knowledge, no other coin uses this method, and would be effective at integrating the multipools quickly if they joined, making them unprofitable as quickly as possible, while returning to respectable difficulty levels quite quickly once they depart. We are curious why no one is using this already, and plan to test it extensively to ensure there will be no issues. We are asking for comment on this plan, and looking to see if any of you can detect any issues with the algorithm.

We also plan to patch a small issue with the tool that estimates the network hash rate. This tool has no bearing on the function of the coin, just how the wallet estimates the hashrate. In our opinion it is not reacting quickly enough to dramatic hash rate changes, which is why the wallet and catcoins.biz are so different in estimates. It's also affecting the diff predictions on IRC and at the pools.

TC 11200, G2, PT +20, 1080 core, 1500 Mem. gets me 750KH on my 280x

Yes those are the best settings I found too, except that PT is between -20 and 0, and make the thing a little less hungry for power.
Final hashrate depends on the brand/model.
Sapphire Dual-x = 1050/1500 at 1.12V for ~725KH/s
Asus R9 280X DC2T = 1100/1500 at 1.09 to 1.15V for ~760KH/s
Oh, and overclocked Asus R9 280X DC2T with excellent ASIC quality and fantastic memory = 1200/1850 at 1.25V with PT +20 for ~825KH/s

What did you do to undervolt the ASUS?  I have 4x at stock 750KH/s.  GPUTweak, Trixx, or Aftreburner?

MSI Afterburner with "Force Constant Voltage" checked (or else it doesn't work), and also "Extend official overclocking limits".

ATTENTION!!!

I have a Kickstarter already wrote out for raising funds for a CatCoin BIllboard!

The next step before I can publish the Kickstarter is for us to agree on who will handle the kickstarter account

We need a respected member of the CatCoin community who has an Amazon payments business account in order to accept credit card Payments on top of other payment methods

It will be relativity easy for us to raise the funds needed and make cryptocurrency history!!

lookup-gap 2
isnt this allready 2 as deafault? no need to do this?

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

this allso succested

its fucking random magic to get it right

Agreed. I think my main problem is heat. My cards are right on top of each other. I can move the 670 up a PCI slot. That should help a little. Once I have the other case fans running I should get slightly better hashrates, at least until I'm watercooling. If I make enough BTC in the next couple of months I'll replace the 670 with another 280x and use VGA Supremacy Bridge Edition waterblocks on them both and have them in a watercooling loop. Should get a stable 700khash if not more then.

no need to use water
only rise it out of chassis
temp will drop, use risers

my second card was at 88-92
it dropped to 62 when i lifted it out

Good idea. I'll look at some risers. What kind do you have? I can find the cable risers, but not sure where I'd mount the card if I bought one.

Well right now under load I'm getting a measly 630khash/sec, so clearly I have some tweaking to do.

tc 8128 clocks 1035/1495 -g 2 -w 256 -I 13 --lookup-gap 2
enjoy instant 710K boner Smiley

It worked briefly, but then my card went back to throttling it down. It's about the same.

Edit: I shut down my 670 and now it's at 682.5khash.

Think I'm just throttling it too hard from the heat being dumped on it by my 670. Damn. Need to stick a high CFM fan on the side of my case to vent the heat I think.

i use these to similar
gpu clock is differnt to every card, you must find it between 1030-1100

--thread-concurrency 8192 and --shaders 2048 are mutually exclusive.
If you set thread-concurrency, shaders is ignored. Also, every 280X I've seen works better with a multiple of shaders >=5 and <6, so you should have better results with at least a thread-concurrency of 2048*5 = 10240.
In my case and on 3 different brands, 11200 was 0.5% better than 10240, which was already 1 to 2% better than 8192.

I can tell I'm going to be spending a lot of time this weekend running benchmarks.  Cheesy

This is what I'm currently using;

Quote
I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-powertune 20

I'll try your settings and change the memory clock, see if I get better performance.

you use powertune +20? not -20

I was using the settings posted in https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison

Does powertune change the voltage?

No, it allows the card to use more power to sustain the demand (if powertune > 0). But in case of undervolting, it may let you use less power (powertune < 0). Don't really know why. With the same voltage/core/memory, my 7990 uses 50W less with powerturne -20 instead of 0.
