Threats? Pump was made 5 days ago. Now. Ppl with 1+ masternodes are holding and setting the lower price. Anyone can sell and buy. We're just fighting off dumpers with walls. By the way if people don't know how walls work don't worry about it. We have a lot ppl with lots of cash doing the job. If you have little coins just hold it and sell when its high. We are actually organized and in consensus. Join the slack chat.

I was drawing comparisons between Chaincoin and Terracoin and talking about the potential of TRC to rise to CHC levels or greater. I just poked my head in here.

The philosophy here with CHC is really pump and hold? People are being threatened to not sell their coins? That's a little ridiculous and is doomed to fail.

The whole thing seems like a game of chicken to me. People are telling others to hold while secretly plotting to dump first. The market doesn't look after people, everybody is in it for themselves.

Guys keep your buy walls and sell walls low and the price will go up!  I've been saying this Sh?t for years and I'm tired of Friggin saying it!  Use your friggin brain guys.  This is so simple and you guys are making it difficult!!!  Sorry if I may sound rude to anyone.
It's because this is what I've been doing for a long time.  So buy and hold your coins so you'll sell less coins later and have more to sell and make more money.  Come on guys Damn!!! OMG!!!

To a newbie, what do you mean buy and sell walls?

And this is how this "wonderful" community looks like. I wonder how long before they go dumping on each other...

I'm with masternode thingie.. What is wrong with it? It started successfully when I opened the ports and I have 1000 coins in my wallet. It's been running for the last 22 hours and before that it was running for like 15 hours but still exactly 1000 coins in there. I have two wallets, so do all coins have to be in one wallet and do you need to encrypt it? Now there's 87 MB come in and 79 gone out for the last 22 hours. HELP I'm going crazy as I might be losing some coins at the moment! Has anyone come across the same problem? Embarrassed

If you did not know the master node payout are random so a bit of luck is needed and since there are ~1300 it may take a few days before you are the luck one to get payment. For example I started 20 master nodes and they have been running for a few days and I see that some have had multiple payouts and others may have just one. Seems some are more lucky then others.  So if you started the master node and it displays 'masternode started remotely' then it is running just give it time.

Well it said "successfully started masternode" but not "remotely"... I hope there's no difference and you are right and I'm just impatient.

The investor guy zedomax that's organizing highoncoins bought 30 master nodes from $0.10 to $0.80 cents and probably higher building up that big buy wall.  He doesn't really care about money he does this for fun and laughs.  His dad is a multi-millionaire and he's not the greedy type.  He said he'll hold that coin even if it drops to a penny.  I believe him,   .  The dev's won't dump their own coins and crash what they are building. Maybe sell a little to buy a can of beans to live off of.

The only one investor is the whole chain coin community that's tired of getting pumped and dumped on.  They welcome everyone to join them if you believe in their goals.

Along with you I did the same thing.  I dumped in the market early to distribute the coins. I kept enough to keep me happy though.

Glad to learn that I wasn't the only one with that understanding, I was playing it by ear. I'm happy enough ...

On a different topic:  WTS 3+million PNUT  Smiley

So, in September 2015, the $ 100 deposit is now worth $ 2 million?

Unbelievable.  Cool Nice profit.
I doubt anyone has made that kind of profit.
Most of the coins were lost or deleted.  There is likely five million at most left and many are in masternodes.  You can't use the volume on an exchange as an indicator of profit since most of those trades are made by bots.

Only in my dreams Smiley

I've been a supporter since the early days (waves at any old pals still lurking) and for a couple of years had a cron job managing four coins, Chaincoin included, each getting setgenerate for 15 mins per hour.

I upgraded to the 0.9 version along with most others but discontinued the quarter-hour duty cycle because the network was clearly receiving adequate hash support for the circumstances.

When the across-the-board masternode pump arrived, I had a wallet with 212,000-odd Chaincoin in it and was acutely aware that, given the long back story, there may not have been all that many coins available. So, over the day, I fed nearly 200,000 CHC into the market, making a handful of BTC.

Ofc, matching that sale against today's price will have everyone giggling. But I have a sneaking feeling that had I simply parked my arse on my stash and waited for $6, I'd still be waiting today. As the man said “I made my money by selling too early”.

I'm delighted that Chaincoin has gained some hard-won long-term support. I've kept 10000 CHC as a souvenir (the server-hosted node is a master node, ofc) and have gladly routed some my ill-gotten gains to provide some relief to a close family member labouring under debt stress.

At the time, I knew I was selling too early (and too cheaply if the pump proved successful at raising the floor price) but the market needed my support, I felt. So there you go.

Cheers

Graham

For those that don't know this coin came out a day before Darkcoin and was a clone of Zetacoin in the beginning.  It's now moved to the DASH codebase, however slowly.
One thing that is for certain is that a large portion of the coins are lost due to people deleting or losing their wallets because they didn't care.  The coin was worthless.  Now it's not and I imagine people scrambling to find a backup or restore an old hardrive.
