where is the link to sign up for "redeem" pool? Or do we just need to change the miner's username from "protected" to "redeem"?

I re-read the official post about it and honestly it isnt very clear. I believe they said that you just register on the "redeem" pool and just point your miners there, you would then get paid at the stated $0.00012427 PPS, once a week on "pay day" the USD is converted to BTC and paid out to your wallet.

Since it appears that the redeem pool is mining bitcoin, i would imagine that cgminer or whatever you choose to use would work...

To redeem your Loyalty Points (at $2.5 / GH/s / day), you must submit your shares to the "redeem" pool.  Protected is just a standard 95% PPS pool for now. PPS Pool is currently paying 98% PPS, but we might drop this down to 95% soon.

Note: we're setting up the "redeem" pool now.  We'll be doing some testing on it, and we strongly recommend that you don't submit any shares to this pool until the price drop.  It WILL "spend" your loyalty points, and it will pay you at $2.5 / GH/s / day, which will be less than you would get on 95% PPS before the price drop (assuming no crazy price movements).
Just so I understand, we should NOT switch to redeem pool until you say it is ready.
On loyalty points, how do they work when in redeem mode?
Will the points run out faster if the BTC price is lower? Or it is based solely on shares submitted?

Hi can you count the 95% protected pool payout to 98% ?

i am on other region on my country i have no time to manage my mining farm !

i think it should be fair payout with same rate 98% for protected pool and the normal pool seems the loyalty programm end !

and i did not sign up for the normal pool yet !

please consider my request

Sorry, but we're going to go the other way on this.

Tomorrow morning, we'll be switching PPS Pool to 95% PPS.  We don't want to incentivize miners to make the switch, because it's just pointless extra work for them and doesn't provide us any real value. We're currently operating PPS Pool at a slight loss, so with the reward drop, we think its time to bring the fee up to match Protected.

We're waiting to do the switch down to 95% for PPS Pool until tomorrow morning so that miners will have time to see this post and make a decision about where they want to mine.

"TOTAL LOYALTY POINTS EARNED: 0"

Is this already working? (I don't hope so...)

This is fixed.  People who hadn't earned a share last week were seeing 0.

Anybody getting a correct hashrate reading on the normal pool? For me it peaks at about 85% of my real hashrate. I know there still is a display issue with hasrate on the protected pool, where it shows you the effective hashrate, which is 95% of your actual hashrate. By the same logic, the normal pool should be showing 98%, while for now it's 85%. The graph is showing my true hashrate, so this is just a problem with the "Estimated hash rate (based on a 30 minute trailing average)" reading.

EDIT: Works now, it just took a few hours, not 30 minutes.

So how do I switch to the "normal" pool?  I really don't feel like staying on the "protected" 95% pool if I am no longer pulling in loyalty points.  I might as well just pull my rigs off and go somewhere that doesn't have a 5% fee.

The signup link is in the first post. It would've been nice to change the protected pool to 98% also, during this phase when loyalty points can't be redeemed or earned.

Code:
Loyalty point earning period ended Nov 25, 2012 Midnight UTC, total loyalty points earned: 32,525,253

Seems to be working for me.

Just noticed a weird bug with the hashrate graphs: when I'm logged into both normal and protected pool, the normal pool shows me the hashrate graph for my protected pool account. If I log out of the protected pool, I don't see any graph for my normal pool account, just the "mh/s vs time, all workers" text. I have the same username on both pools.

EDIT: The issue cleared out by itself, I suspect it happened because I had just started mining on the normal pool.

I think that if we stay as we are, we are already redeeming loyalty points right?
That's why i'm changing to the "normal" one, just in case that's the case (pun intended)
No, pretty sure we arent redeeming them yet. They havent released the client and afaik .. redeeming points is only done via the custom client =(. But, perhaps they will allow us to mine on a diff pool to redeem them if they cant get that client out in time...who knows, its all up in the air at this point..

EDIT: nop i'm wrong, to redeem loyalty points we need to switch to a new "redeem" pool. Nice

So the users on protected pool are just paying extra because they haven't changed to the 98% pool yet? Seems that I can't use my protected pool credentials to mine on the normal pool.

Can we still mine at the "normal" pool? The 98%?

Yep.  PPS Pool is still open.

I would guess that everything is on the "normal" pool now?
