The new MAC wallet has been released.

You can find a link to it on www.CoinoCoin.com, or you can link directly from here:
http://coinocoin.com/Coino-Qt.zip

Please backup your wallet.dat file just in case.  There is no need to delete the blockchain.  You can simply use the update and you will re-sync to the network and have your coins.

You may find the initial sync to be slow.  If you are an advanced user, you can use this command:
addnode=70.38.54.10

If you don't understand that command, don't worry.  Your wallet will just take a few extra minutes to synchronize.

Special thanks to smcardle for the compilation.
Congratz to Steve & Bill for their great work !!!!

Hi,

i am into coino from the beginning. since then just lurking in this thread, but I think now it's time to participate somehow.

I am an it guy from germany. Networking, firewalls, linux server, hardware is my profession...

We need to get access to the domain coino.org to update the wallet there, otherwise there will be some version problems in the future. I will try to contact the dev by pm, perhabs he is willing to coorperate in a way.

One question regarding mining: Is it save to mine at a pool right now? Are there problems when try to payout the mined coins? I stopped mining, because I do not know if it is save right now.

BTW I need the windows wallet binarys Smiley

so let's make coino a success together, so far it seems to be one of the best crypto communitys!

Guys please explain how to synchronize my wallet, after a block of 269708 does not work.
Anytime a wallet won't go past block 269708, its a sign that you are using the older version.  A new windows version will be available shortly.  A new linux version is already available.

Your coins are safe, but you need to upgrade as soon as the windows software is available so be able to access your coins.

If you are using linux, you can upgrade already - see above.

I can confirm that https://www.swisscex.com/market/CON_BTC is running on the new wallet and is on the main blockchain.  I've tested transactions through their system and it is working fine.

You can consider it safe to trade at Swisscex without worrying of lost coins.

I'd like an advice :

I didn't open / edit / modify my Coino wallet since a few weeks.

Regarding to recent posts about lost Coino, what do you advice :

Let it close and update wallet once issued ?

(Nota Bene : Macintosh Wallet)

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Yes please.  Closing it and leaving it closed is safe.  When the new wallet file is available, there will also be steps to upgrade.  You will need to backup your wallet.dat file "just in case".

Once the new wallet is installed, it will sync and you will have your coins.

Thank you very much.

The funny part is that The dev AKA Mr Coino is logging in everyday and looking at this thread.

April 08, 2014, 07:36:52  was his last time he visited his own thread.

and I hope you all fools understand now what I meant. Before he went lost I said to you all this german kid is a jackass. He have no knowledge of anything. But nobody believed me.

Obsan, you looked at the wrong time when you clicked on Coino.org's name. What you saw was his local time listed. His real last login was March 15, 2014, 06:09:26 PM. It is listed just above his local time.

where is dev coino .... if we update from another source, if realy dev left ,then we need destroy 2M premine its not acceptable...

I fully understand your feeling.  I feel the same - the premine should be destroyed.

However, that isn't something I felt I should do when I released this update.  There needs to be a clear choice amongst the users to do that.  And along with that, there should be terms for what would need to happen for the premine to come back.

Imagine if I decided you hadn't been active enough with the coin so I took it upon myself to remove your coins.  I may think I have a great reason to do that - but it would still upset you.

We can't allow our anger to cause us to move quickly.  We know where the premine is and how to remove it.  But first we need to decide if everyone wants that done and under what terms its "fair" to do so.

Thanks - sorry, I have no idea what is meant my compiling something... I guess it means to convert the files into "proper" files or something... (hey I'm an accountant, I can help with tax returns and VAT though!)

I may take you up on that offer!

Here is the current update:

The new wallet is working on unix.  The windows version is being created now and will be available in a bit.  If anyone wants to work on compiling one as well, they are welcome.  Please get in touch on the IRC channel.

Once the new windows wallet is ready, it will be posted.  It uses the existing blockchain, so all existing coins are still there and safe.  We'll provide some "techy" details on a way to speed up the new wallet working as we post it.  But even if you don't follow them it will still start to work, just a bit slower.

Sorry for the delay everyone - we were hoping to have a more controlled update but we were forced to do it today instead of next week due to the code error.

Just want to say thank you for your continued support for this coin.  I truly think coino has potential. It's just that not enough people see it yet.

For everyones safety do not send out any coins right now. Blockchain is stuck at 269708.

The new source is available to update your wallet.  Compiled binaries are coming as we get them done.

I have push requested the update to the main Coino fork, but at the moment you can get it from my fork at:

https://github.com/bgade/coino

You may want to manually add this node to speed up your re-sync:
206.45.96.254

At this particular moment, the main network is on block 269718.

The problem was caused by a code issue that was affected by daylight savings time.  It has been corrected.  At the same time, the KGW exploit was included.

This update represents a HARD FORK at block 269708.  This is a required update.

er...for the less IT capable... what the hell do you have to do here? I downloaded the ZIP files from GitHub... but it didn't contain any executables etc...
What do you mean "manually add this node"? Add to what?

For the less IT savy, keep an eye on this thread and the coinocoin IRC.

As the new binary downloads are available you will be informed
