Pos 3.0 brings inducement for people to operate online (Master)nodes and be active in the staking process.
Before 3.0: The best strategy was then to keep your node offline and then only bring it online rarely to get a huge stake payout. People with not many coins got a small stakes while people with lots of coins got large stakes. After 3.0: You need to run your online node 24/7 if you want to get your best interest. If you have a lot of coins and stake all the time you will be granted your interest. If you have a lot of coins and do not stake you will be granted 0% interest. If you have not that many coins and stake all the time you will be granted more especially in situations when not all issued coins participate in the stake process.

I'm waiting for mid-October to buy. I think there will be a rush of swaps, and dumps, around when the market closes. After that, the swaps will be low through the swap closing in December and probably start to climb.

My estimate is COLX to go to 3 sat mid-month and possibly touch 2 sats a little (but not long) before starting back up again. Hoping to pick up another 2 masternodes when that happens!

I stand corrected. Looks like the duration at 2 sats is going to be longer than I expected. 2 sats was eaten into handily today. Good chance of touching 1 sat (although I still believe briefly) once we hit mid-month volatility due to CV2 being removed from Nova as a trade pair. Still thinking COLX can recover, but going to be a long couple of months through the end of the coin-swap period.

The ColossusCoin2 wallet is able to hold the new coin, correct?
No, almost every cryptocurrency has its own blockchain and wallet. (except ethereum tokens) There was a guy last week, he send 40 litecoin to a bitcoin wallet. They are gone.. It's like posting a letter to the wrong mailbox, you can't get them back
That guy's just lucky he didn't do it the other way around... yikes!

No bud, you must download the COLX wallet.  Links are here on the first page of the ANN

Oh, and that Masternode guide ROCKS!  Masternodes Pro will help us as well.  Once this btc drama is out of the way finally, we are going to see some great growth in COLX.  imo, the current price is a steal.  Grin

Thanks!

Staking is not active.
Multisend: Not active.

What do these means? This is different from other wallets which says "staking..."

have a look here: https://steemit.com/crypto/@prufarchy/piv-and-let-piv-pivx-commonly-asked-questions-part-1

STAKING CONDITIONS
    staking conditions:
    0) chain must be synced, not importing or reindexing
    1) chain tip’s timestamp must be past a certain time
    2) must have active connections
    3) wallet must be unlocked (unencrypted wallets are always considered unlocked)
    4) must have mintable coins (aka, at least 91 confirmations)
    5) must have more coins than reserve balance (reservebalance default is 0)
    6) masternode additional data must be synced

Interesting i just received 947 coins says" minted" but it keep says stacking not Active?

Yep, that's been happening to me.

Having identical problem

getstakingstatus

{
    "validtime" : true,
    "haveconnections" : true,
    "walletunlocked" : true,
    "mintablecoins" : false,
    "enoughcoins" : true,
    "mnsync" : true,
    "staking status" : false
}

My coins have staked twice instantly after restarting the wallet then after 91 confirms mintablecoins remains false.

Have only been able to stake twice due to mintablecoins getting stuck on "false". Restarting wallet again many times has not worked again.

Was going to invest in this coin, but the after my wallet was not syncing (got it to sync after different types of actions now).

Im highly having second thoughts, I see all these people who cant swap their coins, tbh I never seen a coin that was so hard to swap.

If there was a guide on how to do it or anything, I dont see how any coin be a success if its so complicated to do the most simple things...

Swap works perfectly for me. Have you tried buying COLX directly? You don't need to buy CV2 first.

So unclear this stuff. Looked on how it is done on PIVX but this is some heavy stuff. (...) Def not trying to be disrespectful but really need some more info. ;-)

COLX Masternode installation guide (summary)

For security, you should create a hot/cold setup with TWO wallets:
   - One wallet for the masternode (24/7, so either a VPS or a server in your home). This will be the masternode. IT WILL CONTAIN NO FUNDS!
   - One wallet on your pc. THIS WILL CONTAIN THE FUNDS. You can use it to start the masternode server and then close this wallet.

First install the masternode wallet.
   - It must use the default port: 51572 (and ususally 51573 for RPC);
   - Write down the IP address, you'll need it later;
   - Open ports, NAT, firewall if you need to;
   - Start it. On linux: colxd --deamon
   - Synchonize the blockchain.
   - Stop it to make adjustments later. On linux: colx-cli stop
   - The masternode wallet will stay empty at all times!

Then install your PC wallet:
   - This is just a regular install of the wallet with a GUI
   - Synchonize the blockchain.
Transfer the funds to your PC wallet:
   - Create a new receiving account (File, Receiving Addresses, New), call it 'Masternode 01' or whatever you like.
   - Transfer exactly 10,000,000 to that account (must be one 10,000,000 payment, not mulitple small amounts).
Check your payment:
   - In the console (Tools Menu, Debug Console), use 'masternode outputs'.
   - For valid 10,000,000 payments, it will give you a transaction_id and a transaction_index (usually 0 or 1).
   - Copy/paste these values to textfile, you will need them later.
Create a unique number for your masternode:
   - In the console, use 'masternode genkey'
   - Save it to the textfile, you will need it later.
Enter your masternode details in your PC wallet:
   - Click Tools, Open Masternode Configuration File (or open masternodes.conf)
   - On one line, enter: some name without spaces like MN01 (space) masternode IP:port (space) generated_key (space) transaction_id (space) transaction_index
   - Save the file and restart (I think)

Configure your masternode wallet: edit ColossusCoinXT.conf:
   - Add masternode=1
   - Add masternodeprivkey={the key you generated}
   - (re)start it. On linux: colx-cli stop / colxd --deamon
   - The debug.log should say that the masternode is waiting to be started (from the PC wallet).

Activate the masternode from your PC wallet:
   - Go to page 'Masternodes'
   - Click 'update status' to see
   - Use any of the start buttons to register the masternode with the network.
   - IF IT COMPLAINS ABOUT TXID: Use the console instead: 'masternode start-alias MN01'

Check your masternode wallet:
   - The debug.log should say 'Enabled!'.
   - It will start Pinging the masternode system to keep its registration alive.

YOU CAN NOW CLOSE THE PC WALLET!
   - If you open it, your masternode payments will appear (after block 10.080).

Good Guide
Thanks a lot!
