What is happening with teh COLX network? It seems to fork constantly... I have updated to 1.0.4, it seems to be a bit better than 1.0.3, but still some unexplainable things are going on.

Could please anyone explain this:

Here you can see I have a staked block confirmed (13:22, 299 confirmations), while an older staking block is still being confirmed (13:01, 11 confirmations). How this could happen?

ColossusXT is now ready for cross-chain dapps with the Blocknet Protocol!

https://twitter.com/The_Blocknet/status/1004408961196490757

Now that COLX is compatible with the Blocknet Protocol, it can be used in cross-blockchain dapps and traded on beta Block DX!

You can read more about Blocknet, the Blocknet Protocol, and Block DX here:

https://blocknet.co

https://sites.google.com/view/blocknet/directory

To get started with trading on Block DX, follow this setup guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ciwLFSXwv6CXd3QEvVW88lHXo9CSIlweYOoSbDHkies/preview

The setup is in the process of being automated/abstracted so it's much easier and streamlined to use for beginners. In addition to that, in July we are planning to release SPV support which will allow for the creation of litewallets so whole blockchains will not need to be downloaded.

I withdrew earlier on Cryptopia with no problems, back in my wallet within a couple of minutes. I had noticed on Cryptopia this time I had to type an email code to withdraw.

Colossus Test-Net

So what is our test network and what do we use it for?

One of the primary reasons why a test network exists is for developers to accomplish specific tests. To be more specific, when COLX developers try to introduce some variations to the protocol they have to guarantee the concept is thoroughly tested first and foremost. This can be done easily on the test network since it is an alternative version of the primary blockchain.

As one would expect, currency stored in COLX wallets on the “regular” network is not visible on the test network. However, the test network has its own set of coins, also referred to as “tCOLX”. These coins have no value whatsoever and cannot be traded on any exchange. However, the coins can be used to perform transactions, ensuring everything is working as expected.

The principal reason why the test network required is for developers to experiment with new code and solutions. In doing so, they are not distressing the main COLX network. More importantly, if a proposed code change were to go awry, it will have no impact on the main COLX environment. The test network is a pure testing environment and is always be treated as such.

So what is currently being tested?

Right now COLX team members are hard at work testing the various components of integrating the zerocoin protocol into our current COLX codebase. Zerocoin has been merged into our current version (1.0.4) for testing, and is currently up on our test network as we work out the last kinks before release.

The depicted zerocoin wallet is currently syncing on the test network getting ready to accept a transfer. Note: the wallet interface is only a placeholder for protocol testing as our team is also working on the upcoming wallet interface overhaul which will also debut on our test network soon!
