does staking status need to be true or will this come in time once i start staking

thanks

Staking status needs to be true if you're staking. It looks like you have to add the line staking=1 to the ColossusCoinXT.conf file. It started working for me when I added the line under the addnodes.

Hello guys. Can someone help me, please?. My coins in the wallet have been lying still for more than a week, but for some reason stacking does not begin. The wallet is synchronized, connection to the network is correct, about 12 connections.

I had that as well in the beginning. Make sure you have you wallet unlocked for staking and that you added the line staking=1 to the conf file.

If that still doesn't help, go to Tools > Debug Console and enter getstakingstatus

If you see a line saying mintablecoins = false, that means your coins don't have enough confirmations on the chain yet. They need around 10000 confirmations.

To check how many confirmations your coins have at the moment, go to Preferences, then to the Wallet tab and check Enable coin control features. Click Ok and go to the Send tab. Under Coin Control Features, click Inputs. There you'll see an overview of your coins and their confirmations.

This should fix everything for you.. if you run into any other problems, let me know!

Thank you very much. I add line staking=1 and staking is work. Only multisend doesn`t work. What is it? And how I can find remaining time before award and my share in the total weight?
Thanl you again.

You're welcome! I don't know what Multi Send is either. I've been staking for a couple of days now and haven't hit a reward yet. I don't know where the find the info you're looking for.. I would be interested in knowing that as well Smiley

Good info and made me see why I do not stake yet. I need more confirmations.

Glad to be of help! If you've been waiting for 7 days already, you should be close to 10000 confirmations.. should be a matter of hours then.

Hey, what kind of team is behind COLX? Couldn't find a list of developers on their website and didn't like their webpage design in general. Not yet convinced if this is something to invest in or not.

Does anybody have some COLX they are willing to sell? Can not buy any on any exchanges.

No offense, but beware a newbie account trying to buy coins peer-to-peer.

Cant argue with that, I have the same username on reddit where I have more posts and have done this before. Any suggestions other than just trying to wait for these exchanges to work?

I'd also like to buy some COLX but don't have an account in Tradesatoshi and the webpage doesn't let you register. Coinsmarkets site is down. Any other suggestions where to buy some?  Grin

Really?  I bought some yesterday but it did take about 4 tries before the order went thru.  The exchanges are swamped I guess...must be more sellers than buyers tho with such a down day...suckers!😏

BRUTE FORCE PASSPHRASE RECOVERY?? COLX wallet.dat

Feeling pretty silly right now..  I've had a 'copy/paste' issue with the pass phrase which I've encrypted my COLX wallet with,  I think rather than the actual passphrase I've probably pasted a file system path as the phrase instead.

I need to figure out a way I can try and make brute force attempts to unlock the wallet to recover the coins.

Is anyone is able to suggest an approach for doing this?  or point me in the direction of a tutorial or something?

I have tried to research this,  and I've found a few references to brute forcing qt wallets - but I'm unsure of the specifics of these and whether I can simply use that approach for the colx wallet.. any guidance would be most appreciated..

Did you check the backup folder for a wallet before you enabled encryption.

I've done that just now and there appears to be a wallet.dat from before the wallet was encrypted (I'm also quite sure I created a backup before encrypting in case of something like this happening), however when I replace the file with either of these backups and open it it's still showing as encrypted.

- is there a recovery process I need to follow?
- I'm assuming all the encryption data is contained within the .dat file itself?

So did you take one of the early backups rename it to wallet.dat and replace your current wallet.dat if the date was before you enabled encryption it should work and not as you for a password.
