About linux, I am noob in linux but you can ask him, He was able to run my miner on Linux:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.39571767
The is also link to coolMiner-v1.2L.

I tried to compile the v1.3L but now I can't compile anything because it just started throwing error "all-recursive" on line ~2550 on makefile, have no idea why, I changed nothing.

I tried using the template bat.file...but not working..the mining window keep closing.

i use as follow:-
coolMiner-x64 -a lyra2z -o stratum+tcp://angrypool.com:20012 -u Gdb43xnQZGF5wMBRKD3YRhUvga8j5Aj554.Rig1 -p x -i 19  --hide-diff

and when i download the file inside only got "coolMiner-x64" application file that all.. am I missing anything??

Are u upgraded your Nv driver above 390+ im using on one rig with 397.31 an another rig with 398.11 and no problem.
I tried to run coolminer in 391.24 and the miner doesn't start because it miss CUDA 9.2.

Cuda 9.2 is included (as far I know) in 397.xx drivers. And I've had freeze issues with 397.xx drivers (various versions) + Windows 10 LTSB + Afterburner or any monitoring/overclocking app

Do you are able to run Coolminer in 391.xx drivers? How did you made it to work?

Sorry my really bad english.

Hi Guys, i'm getting an error on my mining rig when using coolminer, its "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) ... "

Its a windows 10x64 machine 8 gb ram , core i5 7400 , with 9 gpus , 6 x 1080ti, 3 x 1070ti.

Things i've tried, installing cuda 9.2 , installing latest nvidia drivers 398.11, checked vb.net version is 4.7 , ran as administrator , checked its not blocked in firewall .  Tried 1.1, 1.2 , 1.3 version and no luck.

Any ideas ? works great on my desktop and love to get this working on my rig.

I'll send a Gincoin to anyone that can sort this out for me as a thankyou .

Try this:

Go here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

download and install both: x86: vc_redist.x86.exe and x64: vc_redist.x64.exe

Ok tried this and no luck , its the same instant error message "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) ... "

This is one stubborn problem :-(

A good test would be to try running ccminer 2.2.5.  Does that work or does it produce the same error?

Also, does that happen if you double click the exe?  or is it happening when you use a bat file?   sounds like it could be a missing dll file.

Try running command prompt as an admin and running this command:  SFC /scannow

ccminer 2.2.5 is fine and that's what i currently run. No error with that one.   I tried the SFC /scannow and no errors.

Re Ryzens2700x comment about the full reinstall i'm worried i do all that and it doesn't fix it. I've already lost 4 hrs trying to get this going now . So happy to try a few more things first for sure.

ccminer comes packaged with a dll file if I remember correctly.  Copy the coolminer exe into the same folder as your ccminer and try running it from there.  A full re-install sounds a little overboard at this point.   Also are you familiar at all with the windows event viewer?  In the application logs there should be an entry for every time this failed to run.

So far coolminer has taken my rig from 18.9mhs (ccminer 2.2.5) to 20.25mhs.
This miner is a winner.

TEST 5:
Head to Head test of CoolMiner 1.3  -i 20 Vs -i 18

The Setup:
I use a 12 GPU 1080Ti rig on Windows 10, split into three mining instances of 4 GPU's each (for this test, only two of the instances are used). All three mining instances are balanced to get as close to the same hash rate as possible.
Each mining instance is running at the same time on the same machine mining on the same pool.

Overclock settings: 100% TDP, +75 core, -502 mem
Drivers: Nvidia 397.93

Test Results: IN PROGRESS

.

You are cool guy Wink but now you are testing first version of the coolminer...

In first link it’s ccminer ?
Look at your worker, it’s showing ccminer
And in second link it’s showing coolminer...
Any way in second link with coolminer you have much coins  Grin
Thank you for all good tests that you are sharing with us...
Max

Thanks for catching that..
I usually double check everything before I launch a test, clearly I choose the wrong miner prog in Awesome Miner.
I edited the test above, and I'm running a follow up test of what should have been.

Test 3 results are in...

No difference between letting the pool set the diff, and manually setting a diff of MHs x 0.7

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.39796222

Looking at the pages for test 3 while you were still mining, the vardiff was actually using ccminer and d=10 coolminer according to the pool (or the other way around, don't remember which). Didn't say anything as I was unsure if that was intentional.
