Many of the cat features are already in the bot. A lot are not. CAT is a one trick pony just like qtl. CIRC is more then just a trading bot, more then just trader and whale communities. It's hard to compare CIRC to the other stand alone bots which dont come in wallet and dont come with many users mingling in the same place. Nor are they really coins. QTL has a coin buts its only purpose is to use the qtl bot. CIRC has a coin with many purposes including the bot.
Also I'd like to point out that cat looks old and outdated. It's time for a face lift for all these bots and circ is leading the pack. Has it got every bot trade option out there? Nope. Can it... Sure. I guess it all depends on what the community asks for.

Yeah, I get what you are saying and the bot isn't going to be the entire reason for CIRC to exist. C.A.T. maybe a one trick pony but if you can correctly identify the likely range that a high volume coin is likely to trade within during a given time frame, that one pony can be hella profitable for no more work that setting up the trading parameters and spending the rest of the day jerking off.
I figure implementing at least some basic features that allow you to do the 'ping-pong' trading (as C.A.T. calls it) will encourage a lot more people to buy into at least the trader lounge level. A lot of people maybe have enough BTC to buy into the trader level, but not enough BTC to effectively use the bot and move any markets. Features that allow you to make profit with lots of small trades and without moving the market will appeal to the trader level.
EDIT: Watching the latest youtube video right now. I misunderstood the 'over/under' feature originally. I see what you are saying about it offering many of the C.A.T. features already. Cool, more excited to finally fire it up when it is delivered now.
