The internet is full of porn / adult movies.

Most people using such platforms want to watch movies they've seen in the past and can not find them, or they want to see some series, TV shows, new Movies that they do not have a chance to see in the cinema or have lost their broadcast to certain TV stations.

The devs should just offer some unique materials, e.g. old or rare movies in good quality, so they won't be having much competition in the segment.

Soon Elon Musk will launch its satellites and provide free Internet on the whole planet. At least I read such news about his plans.

Sattelite won't make it cheaper... it will help expand the reach of internet where fibre optic cales can't.

i think they should make a diversified offer, the same content available in various formats from 4k to slow connection so as to be usable for all types of connection

I know that in my country not many people have even WQHD. If to start offering 4k streaming, the devs have to definitely start from the developed countries, not from the developing

I would like to know it as well since here in my country the speed of internet is a bit slower. I wish there is a way to access the platform normally even with such connections speed.

If I'm not mistaken they told that their platform will work lower speeds too. But it was some pages ago and i'm afraid it is impossible to find again.

Then a demo would be nice to test how it works with low speed. That way each one can draw his conclusions.

Many user are sitting 2-3 m far away from their display and wouldnt need 4k. I never needed 4k, maybe it will change in the future, but till now, I dont miss it.

I think so but probably not for all the content. YourDef is a good idea. You don't need 4k streams on a phone.

Have a look into the whitepaper. There is the posibility of flexible resolution. For examble a mobile device got a lower quality than a TV on streaming.

of course the will be an option for 4k. by the time the platform is completely operational, it will be mandatory.

If we talk about movies or series, for now HD and Full HD more than enough - although of course in the future it may be in demand and filmmakers can be able to create 4k quality.
