Is it OK to compile latest miners on Ubuntu with Cuda 5.5 or should I install new Cuda version?

can someone help me with setting up 750ti for mineing XMR? i have it running but it seems to only do 23h/s.
340.43 beta drivers
win 8
newest CCminer done by tsiv.

i have no idea as this is my first Nvidia build.

23 H/s sounds like there's something massively wrong indeed. I can't really see how it would work but run that poorly, you could always try cayars' nvminer build.

is that version linked on the first page?

If you mean the first page of this thread... Nope, it's pretty out of date for anything. Latest nvMiner seems to be up at http://www.cudamining.cc/url/releases

I have spent sometime tonight trying to get XMR mining to work correctly on my 6 x 750ti rigs.

I'm running:
Windows 8.1
340.43 beta drivers
cuda 6.0
nvminer65  D6c

A few pages back I saw 8x60 mentioned and it's the default so that's what i was trying to make work. For me it didn't freeze but only gives like 1 h/s if anything.
8x45 or 8x55 like 2-3 h/s.
8x40 about 4 h/s
8x35 about 110 h/s
8x30 about 260-280 h/s  <------ I finally tried - bingo!
8x25 about 100 h/s
8x20 about 240 h/s

So why is this different? I haven't seen anyone mention 8x30 previously for the 750ti but i may have missed something. The technicals are over my head but I thought I would share.

i have tried 8x30 and that has brought the hash rate up to about 220. still low isnt it thou?
is yours overclocked or standard?

8x60 give me the best result so far

i tried that and it gave me a whole 1h/s.

Mine. Butchered up a quick SPH port pre-launch and it just happened to work right out of the box. Hadn't been following the other algos and didn't realize there was a variation of the luffa512 kernel in djm's repo that handled 80 input bytes, couldn't figure out how to mod the one in x11 to do 80 instead of 64 for input so yet another ugly SPH copy&paste job it was. I expect djm's will be the faster of the two, compiling it as we speak to confirm.

i did not remove compacttest, maybe that the problem

i've left the other "quark_check"

anyway diff is 20 already i can't test well in solo, need to much time to find a block
compacttest isn't used.
mostly likely you had a difference between the cpu validation (the sph_algo stuff) and the the hash calculation on gpu they
need to match...

ok good to know

mmh the code are the same mine and yours, but i'm getting rejected, something with the pool?
you need to use -f 0.25 ot -f 0.125 (multiply the difficulty by 4 or Cool, for some reason there are lots of duplicated share which are sent. (if it is the same problem)

i tried that, but the problem remain, i'm using supernova

beta drivers are need only for compiling right? don't tell me that i need those for mining that coin lol
if it is the one you compiled, you won't need it, but if it is my version, yes you will need them (good time to upgrade).
actually did you edit cpu-miner.cc ? (you need to keep things in the same order, otherwise you will end up running on an other algo...)

yeah i edited that and miner.h, it is your version of the new keccak thing

Does the latest version implementing luffa require nvidia-driver 340 and/or cuda 6?

edit: to compile and run

Bitcore (BTX) - The Future is Now
Hey all, just started trying my hand at monero and I'm getting an odd issue.  Using NVMiner 1.2D6 my GTX 750 tis are hashing in the 280s or so, but my GTX titan is only getting around 220 or so.  Am I missing something?

Yes, 750Ti is the bomb.

Speak of 750Ti cards being the bomb, mine is doing around 700 - 710kh/s on BBR! Got that CUDA working!

Proof: https://ottrbutt.com/tmp/bbrcudaminer.png
