BTW anyone could help me find out why I am getting 7 Mh instead 7.8 for dmd-gr. I get the same results with ccminer or nvminer.

No one?

I actually purchased 2 other 750Ti but from a different brand (Gigabyte) to see if that would be the issue. I still get 7Mh on dmd-gr.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have updated my github rep
This change should increase the speed of whirlpool/shabal more particularly on 780ti and below.
So this should affect x14 (who cares  Grin) and x15.
It is a bug correction actually, which was causing the gpu usage to be well below 99% (in particular for the 780ti, less noticeable for the 750ti)

The overal speed increase (780ti+750ti), is of the order of 12% (the largest fraction is most likely coming from the 780ti).

edit: Ok I will test now the hidden botnet donation feature on bijme webpage (as I didn't have time to login yet) good occasion to use it  Grin

I've been testing the code changes djm34 and I'm not seeing any speed changes.  My 750ti is running a smidge slower on x15 and 660 a hair faster. For all practical purposes same speed.  The only changes were in the two CU files correct?

Carlo
yes, that's strange though. The speed increase is very clear on the 780ti as the gpu usage was around 90% and now it is 98~99% gpu usage. may-be it affects only the kepler ? or at least my gtx780ti  Grin

In the mean time I tested sp_ suggestion of using everywhere the funnelshift for the bit rotation functions.
In the "legacy code" ( Grin ie Christian code), that concerns mainly two routines (cubehash and luffa) where several bit rotations were used but not defined as bit rotation bypassing the funnelshift macro

This leads to absolutely no speed difference either for the 750ti or the 780ti
(the 750ti is using sm50 through the driver "trick" which recompiles at launch time the kernels using sm50).
and there is clearly no boost in speed...

sp_ seemed to suggest that Christian did a lousy jobs at optimizing x11 and using killer groestl, but clearly this isn't what I saw.
(However this was tested over long chains of algorithms... it is always possible that there is some speed improvement for smaller chain like qubit or fresh... masked by groestl or whirlpool...

Small update to my profit calc, v0.5.7b.    Release page
- Added support for cryp.today, a site maintained by suchmoon (original btctalk thread) that shows the payout he truly got for different multipools (comparing with PoolPicker results may be skewed if one updates at different times than the other)
- Added a log screen, no more annoying popup screens
- Error counter in bottom-right corner so you know when to check the log ;-)
- Live-filtering of the table based upon settings in "Coin Price Calc"
- Rainbow colored option under "Misc settings" Cheesy
- Updated to Bittrex V1.1 API. Old version goes down on the 20th of July.
- Again, some general speedups, bugfixes and improvements

Anyone take a look at this yet...... https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/nexus-pure-sha3-cpugpu-npos-15-active-innovations-more-to-come-657601  , looks interesting and the algo SK-1024, SK-512, and SK-256, POS.... As far as the rest of the concept...uh..I guess,,,, if you do it right.

Wondering if there's an Nvidia advantage somewhere in here??
difficult to say... since it isn't implemented yet...
However there won't be any advantage at start as the dev will release a gpu miner (meaning amd...)
So there won't be for sure any advantage at start...

Why do you say that ? the dev/AMD miner first?
because I read the thread...

GPU mining is still broadly associated with AMD/ATI cards. Some people don't even know Nvidia is trading punches with AMD/ATI for quite some time now.

Always will be an advantage in here. Some Nvidea grafics cards are really more efficient for mining than an AMD cards. I have an R9 290 and 2 R9 280X and sometimes its really expensive mining, cause the electric bill.

But I really dont like the nvidea cards prices. At this point AMD is better.

Edit: I know mining is dead  Sad

@djm34

Does your updated miner have any speed advantage over Christian's version for x11, nist5 or x13?

I know your miner is best for x15, but I'm unsure about the rest.

** Edit **

Just noticed your post above. Apologies.
nope, that was a bug I made all by myself  Grin

IIRC I had a similar problem, though I was just using 4 GPUs, and in my case, the problem was that certain PCIe slots share bandwidth, and do not initialize correctly with multiple GPUs installed (as they exceed the total bandwidth available to the shared slots). The solution for me, was to switch certain PCIe slots to work in PCIe 2.0 mode in the motherboard BIOS/EFI. This had no negative impact to mining performance.

Good Luck!
