My compiles were made in VS2010 too Wink I knew there would be compatability errors if I used 2012 Tongue

I think it is the ones from the cryptomining-blog (and possibly the x13 from tsiv) that were built with 2012. I have all VS redistributable versions installed anyways, so I never know which one is required  Cheesy

I downloaded christians release. But i gave installed 2010 and 2012 Visual Studio just to make sure but im still getting the error Sad

And you have double-checked that you're running a matched x86 or x64 version of the Visual Studio redistributable? In case I wasn't clear: if you run official cudaminer x86, you need the VS redist x86, for cudaminer x64, you need the VS redist x64...
~ Myagui

Yer im with ya mate and I do understand. I have installed 2010 VS and 2012 VS for both x64 and x86 and im still getting this issue.
Not real sure what else to do, was hoping someone had the same issue. Thanks for the help guys

Depending on who built that ccminer/cudaminer release, you might need instead the Visual Studio 2012 redistributable (Christian's releases I think would always just need the 2010 version 'cos that's what he builds with).

Cheers,

you have to install the red for x86 and x64

I installed the one on the op, is that not the right one?

Has anyone been able to successfully incorporate an API into ccminer? So that we can run it with something like cgwatcher, for instance.
I'm making a cgwatcher-like GUI for ccminer, creatively called CudaWatch. It will just redirect the console output on windows to my program, so that I can read all written strings and interpret them. This works rather well, but I'm busy with linking everything together and building a nice GUI (which takes up way too much time Tongue )

An API would be nice, but isn't necessary to me Tongue

I just setup 3 750 tis's on a new machine:

Asus 750ti x 3
Gigabyte Z87x ud3h Mobo
Pentium Processor
RM750 Corsair PSU
Windows 8.1 64 Bit
4 GB Ram

Aaaaand im getting the dreaded DLL error when starting ccminer. And yep I have installed the Visual Studio Red. Package but it stills pops up: "The program can't start because MSVCP100.dll is missing blah blah"
I did notice though that the version of ccminer from the Github says x86 and no x64 option. Could this be the problem??

I moded the gpu bios a while ago, so I did not try the new possibilities.

If I just flash the bios using NVFlash with higher settings for each card including fan speeds they will just boot and run ok without needing any kind of program to run them in the OS correct?

I didn't mess with anything other than the TDP setting to 65000, but I can certainly go mess with the other numbers in there.

I will give that a try this weekend...

correct. its quite easy and after you have done that, you don't need further tools in linux or windows.
the settings are written in the card bios.

you just need nvflash und kepler bios tweaker to do that.
but I do not know if you could change the fan settings in the bios tweaker.

BUT, be carefull when you change the bios settings. Only change the values you understand and tested before.
I checked before what my cards could take easy with any kind of algo (just on a windows test system with afterburner) - and after they run 24hours without problems I made the overclocking fixed with the bios tweaker.

what cards you have?

maybe I will take a closer look on the nvidia linux overclock posibilities this weekend...

Ive been running my 3 750Ti's with no dummy display plug and they have been hapily mining for over 2 months now. I actualy still have the dust protectors over all the display plugs

Sorry if I wasn't clear.... when trying to run the Nvidia Settings program in linux where you can change the settings by default it only lets you OC/set fan speed in their GUI interface for the first card.

The solution is apparently to set up 'virtual monitors' for each card in linux so they each think they have a monitor attached, but there is nothing plugged into the cards.

I just can't get the program to start... Sad

I also haven't ever run the dummy plugs on my 750 ti cards.

Just don't want a bunch of new miners to get really confused on what I was referencing since I wasn't too clear.

Couple of questions about KopiemTu 1.3 now that I have it up and running...

Figured out the config setup.... got it mining JPC. Is there no need/reason to run multiple miners in linux? I was only able to setup one miner as well in the config (not a big problem at all really since it has per card stats...)

...you could - without the advantage of the KopiemTu Monitor.
but I never needed this anymore after the first release ccminer mining heavycoin for performance reason.

If you like to have different cards working on seperate tasks then stop miner & monitor.
and after you could start seperate tasks of ccminer via command line as usual with the -d switch.

Fan control and OC... More importantly, fan control

I read about making dummy monitor configs for each card to trick it from only being able to control the one card... I usually run my desktop off the built in graphics card... but may need to change that.

Every time I run nvidia-settings it crashes "segmentation fault (core dumped)" and I haven't found a way around that yet.

Anyone have any ideas on getting in and getting it to work for a newb on linux?

Kopiemtu works nice right out of the box.
You just have to edit the .conf files with your mining settings.

Linux is a little strange at the beginning. but feels comfortable after a while.
Just take your time to get into this new world.

I control & update my rigs via ssh only (putty is a nice windows client).

A word about the stability:
root@kopiemtu:~# uptime
08:20:46 up 46 days,

compiling a new version of ccminer is quite easy.
just log in via ssh and use this commands one by one...

cd /opt/miners/
git clone https://github.com/cbuchner1/ccminer
cd ccminer
./autogen.sh
./configure
make

So should i take that as we want it puttin up as a new version?

Not as a new version, but rather as a "mod" Tongue

I've just finished compiling it for 3.0, 3.5 & 5.0 Wink

2.x should work too, but hasn't been tested (if anyone could, please! Cheesy )

Bombadil, both the ccminer30 (on my GTX 770, with 2100 Khash/s)) and 21 (940 khash on my GTX 470) version work. Thank you for the compiling and work on 21 and thanks to tsiv for making X13 work.

Edit: As it turns out, it is still more profitable for me to mine X11 for Nicehash. Oh well, I still have the opportunity now, for when the prices change. I will let my rigs mine X13 for a while, to test the stability of the miners.

x13 came late. The rate for nicehash was around 3.0 / gh couple of weeks back.
