How would one go about connecting 6 to a single psu? When most psu's have only 4 pcie ports. Could 4 pcie ports be used and 2 molex to 6 pin adapters be used?
I have a 850w psu, would the rails be able to handle that?
Most of these cards come with an adapter to use two 4-pin molex connectors instead of the 6-pin.
Just have to spread them out across multiple strands if you have a multi-rail PSU.
Would depend on the coin and what is being pumped through it, but mining JPC my system pulls 370 now, and an additional 22 per card (132W total +) would put it at basically 500W. If the mining increased at the same rate without losing efficiency (which would be a big stretch) it would bea 57% increase in hashrate.
A 2.1 Mhash/s X11 card would jump to approx 3.31 Mhash/s.
If it held true for Christians Killer Groestl + which is running 2.8 Mhash/s I believe it would hash at 4.42 Mhash/s.
Would certainly be a real game changer.
Doubt it would be that efficient as stock is right now, but those would be the optimal estimates if it scaled.
