Alright with all this info here I can not decide of I should go with 2x 750s or 1 970. Space is not a problem for I want to start rolling out the old outdated 270xs

I'm doing exactly the same thing at the moment, I have acquired both 750ti's and 970s.

My favourite is still the 750ti's, but I'm mining only x11 so it may be different for other algo's.
the algos needs to be tuned for these cards. It seems obvious that the capacity of the 750ti hasn't disapeared, they are just hiding. That's one of the inconvenient of ccminer is that there isn't anything to configure for the user,  that doesn't mean there is nothing to do...

I already reclaimed 0.6M on xcn + 1MH by adjusting the mem clock to 3500MHz using nvidia inspector (really strange, it applies for the mem clock the P2 state parameters and for the core clock P3 state... I think there is a major srew up here

they are running so cool, I will have problem in winter

I appear to be able to overclock both mem & core on my Palit 970's

may-be I should ask evga to fix the issue... (the problem everything works okay (oc too) except for ccminer...

Just a note. My 780 that I can't overclock from what it chooses itself is also evga. I can set a +500 core and it will never change

something odd, when mining the mem clock auto adjust to 6000MHz (3000MHz instead of 3500MHz) and refuse to take the overclock (at least with msi AB...) That might explain the rather poor performance on xcn...

I have the same issue with the GTX 970 from EVGA.

I can overclock the core fine but not the memory.
so that's a problem with evga bios...

Have you checked the memory usage? Perhaps it down clocks when not massively used.

yeh my 780 does that, refuses overclocks atall.... no reason for it

may-be it is the same kind of problem as the chrome trick ?
When firestrike or else is run), it run at 3500MH, but when ccminer miner run the mem clock downclock to 3000M.
The core clock move has expected and I can overclock... but not the mem clock

Thanks. I've got to make my mind up soon. From what I have seen already the ski should get an extra 25% on top of the 970 sli
Ok I ran firestrike, the score is of 17029 (not sure if it is real high... the 780ti was doing 10208 not at stock)
with "stock" superclocked (1360MHz (boost)/7000MH).
Temp doesn't exceed 65°C
seems to match what i have seen.

14.6k for 970 sli, 17k for 980 sli
£520 vs £1100

hmmm

Have you installed your 980's yet?
no not yet, will do that a bit later (I have downloaded the drivers and installed the new version of cuda 6.5)
waiting patiently..... kind of

waiting - for - numbers - still  Wink
Can - not - wait - much - longer.....
Just recompiled with 5.2
For xcn, this isn't good 10MHash/s
I'll be optimistic (for the moment) and blame the tuning I used for the 750ti which might not be optimum for the 980.
I haven't tested yet other algorithm.
Fire strike- 3DMark......
driver upgrade and I do it

keccak: 365MHash/s which is rather wow, the 750ti 780ti is doing around 300MH

Should be. I've found some results anyway but want to see what you get
