Any plans for new exchanges?
Hello, sure soon we'll share updates

If I understand correctly
Smaller the Amount you stake, lesser the probability you will find a block in a short time.
One will get rewards anyway but if one doesn't stake for long enough time, he/she will not find a block and no block means no rewards. Opposite to this, if one stake a smaller amount for a longer time there is more probability to find a block in a long time.

Two ways to make it happen ( in both case probability to find a block is more),
1: Stake smaller amount for a longer time
2: The Larger amount for short time

Remember this is like SOLO mining, the larger hash rate more the probability to find a block alone.

The calculation is for staking 1000 CUT

Minting POS block within   1 day     3 days              7 days        31 days             90 days              1 year
Probability (%)                    1.54                4.55               10.30             38.22               75.29              99.63
Reward                         4.55 CUT    13.63 CUT    31.71 CUT   138.15 CUT   385.38 CUT   1292.92 CUT

In the table above, it says person staking 1000 cut will earn 4.55 coins a day but Cut coin block reward is 300 coins/block. This means one has to wait for almost 66 days to get a full block reward.

This is the reason for many people complains that they have not got any rewards even after staking for days ( this may happen due to low staking amount)

Could you clarify sir — in case I am getting 1000 CUT to stake, my ROI in CUT will be 14% (138 CUT) within one month, correct?
Hello, and thank you

Well, let check it together
You'll receive +138 coins with probability 38.23%
(The probability indicates estimate chances for this amount of coins to earn any PoS rewards in the given timeframe and not chances of earning exactly the expected amount.)
Better way to stake for a 90 days more and get 385.54 CUT more with higher probability. Or stake more. That're my recommendations not more.

Here you could possibly find old information about predicted coin emission schedule. Now, after successful 52 000 Hadr Fork, it's time to update and renovate emission parameters. Whatever there is no place for worries the Total Supply and other important parameters didn't change. So, let's check what exactly had changed.
 After Public release Dec 24th we chose to start with PoW consensus with the switch to PoS. Proof-of-Stake (PoS) was chosen as man consensus 'cause of it's a modern and technically advanced mechanism. With PoS, in the usual sense, "miners" are replaced by validators that support the operability of the network, and the coin mining process itself becomes virtual. PoS is a type of algorithm based on the proof of ownership of a share: checking the truth of a node's transaction by choosing which one has a greater share of coins. March 7th we made Hark Fork as promised.
During PoW period 18506410.5457656292 CUT coins were mined, as it was mentioned we planned to mined only 15 000 000 CUT coins.

Hello,
Yes, we’re alive. Our POS CryptoNight implementation shows itself like working and somehow prosperous, nevertheless, we never did ico or shout to of loud about ourselves.
However, you can check and join our community here

Goals and plans
* Second exchange
Difficulty in this task is at first to find a not-fake volume exchange. Second, not all of exchanges are working with Monero family coins.

* Staking Pool
We discussed this idea at telegram chat with the community. I think I’ll post more details about it here

* Mobile app
* Some activities are coming for BTT community and for other communities, we need strong support for positive trend at STEX exchange.

You can check roadmap here  https://cutcoin.org/

Also, we have some future goals, will post them later.

Hello, as we promised now we’re working under GUI wallet version.
🤖 Graphic easy to use and so-so wallet.

Current features list to add:
1/ Status:
  - You are staking XXX CUT now.
  - Waiting for the stake to mature, will start staking in approximately XX hours and XX minutes.
  - Last block time is too far in the past, you are likely disconnected from the network, please check your daemon.

2/ Unspent outputs amount for staking ( 800 blocks);
3/ Total CUT coins amount;
4/ Current blockchain height;
5/ Difficulty;
6/ Statistics:
- Reward found in 24/ 48 hours.
- Next block expected time.
- Average income per 24 hours/ week.
- Lucky change for next block (probability percent).

We would like to hear your opinion about features you think we need to add. And promise we’ll boogie on it.
Waiting to read feedback. You're welcome to discuss with us at Telegram chat or at Discord community. Thank you!🤩

These all sound like great features.
Will you elaborate more on how a stake is selected for a block?
If I stake 10 coins vs 1000. Do they have equal chance for a block?
Does the stake need to be greater than the transaction amount? (IE a 10 coin stake wouldn't support a 15 coin transaction but 100coin stake would?)
Thanks.

Hello, thank you for questions.
After each block, each unspent output in each staking wallet computes it's time to mine a block. It does so by calculating a hash of the last PoS hash concatenated with the unspent output's key image. The lower the numeric hash value and the output monetary amount - the sooner it will be allowed to forge a block. Eventually, the time advances to the allowed time of some of the outputs and it's wallet forges a block and broadcasts it to the network.

The chance to forge a new block is therefore proportional to the total amount of coins in the wallet.

Our implementation is very close to the one described here:

However, instead of rolling the timestamp every 16 seconds and re-checking (as described above), each output has a "target time" at which it will be allowed to forge a block, quite similar to what NXT has:
https://nxtwiki.org/wiki/Whitepaper:Nxt#The_Forging_Algorithm

By using the key image of an output, which is generally secret before the output is spent, to generate the hash we effectively address Vitalik's concerns about predictability of PoS blockchains, raised here:

Staking Guide | How to run wallet

Hello!

Few days past after PoS
And we created community at discord
https://discord.gg/UNNzf3J

Welcome to join us!  Cool Cool Cool

Simple steps to start CUTcoin staking

1. Create your personal wallet. The official command line wallet is 'cutcoin-wallet-cli'.

To create the wallet:

1.1. Download source code and build CUT coin daemon and wallet (for Linux) or just download executables (for Windows) from here https://github.com/cutcoin/cutcoin/releases/tag/v2.0.1 Follow README.md instructions.[/i]

1.2. Run Cutcoin daemon, for example:

./cutcoind --data-dir ./

1.3. Wait till the daemon is cynchronized. You sould see the message: 'You are now synchronized with the network. You may now start cutcoin-wallet-cli.'

1.4. Generate a new wallet. Run

./cutcoin-wallet-cli

and follow the instructions. Don't forget to save your wallet file in a safe place.

2. Get your CUT coins. Ask your friend to share some coins with you or buy on the market: https://app.stex.com/en/trade/pair/BTC/CUT/1D

When withdrawing the coins from the exchange specify the wallet address that you just created.

3. Wait for 800 blocks (approx 12 hours). Now you can put your coins on the stake. Run 'start-staking' command in the wallet.

Hello CUT team,

Very sorry, I am still having trouble setting multiple wallets to stake coins by using the "start_mining" command.

I can run and use multiple wallets from the same machine with one daemon running. I run into an error when I ask multiple wallets to mine.
I enter command "start_mining" in the first wallet and the daemon reports the following

Code:
2019-03-01 20:12:10.651 [RPC1]  WARN    miner   src/cryptonote_basic/miner.cpp:326      Mining has started with 1 threads, good luck!
2019-03-01 20:12:10.652 [miner 0]       INFO    global  src/cryptonote_basic/miner.cpp:442      Miner thread was started [0]

after that if I attempt to ask any more wallets to mine the wallet gives this error

Code:
[wallet cutbTq]: start_mining
Error: mining has NOT been started: Already mining

any help is very greatly appreciated

Thank You
Hello,
for now you can only try this on testnet. After the fork it will also work on mainnet.

You should be using start_staking if you are attempting to stake on the test net.
If you are trying to mine on the main net or test net you are only able to mine from one wallet at a time.
