Guys I was just looking for Datacoin and wanted to check the current pricing and some charts etc. Isnt DTC listed on coinmarketcap? Couldnt find it there somehow.
Can you tell me which ressources there are to monitor DTC? Thanks in advance.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/datacoin/

Big problem is that our exchange BTCPOP does not have an API at the moment.  So Coinmarketcap is not updating

Currently trading at https://btcpop.co/Exchange/DTC

Casimir at BTCPOP promises an API in January or February 2018.

I hope the votes are not reset in every round.

"Each vote will consume 0.1 KCS, we will refund the KCS consumed to vote for the winner. This round of vote ends in "

I interpret this to mean your KCS will be back in your wallets to use for the next round.  How about you?

My interpretation is: winning voters get stake back, losing voters don't.

Cheers

What is the goal of capitalization of your project?

Our first goal now is just to get it listed on an exchange.  I have no idea what the market will do to the price.

You're on an exchange, extro: BTCpop. I signed up so I could have a look at it. EDIT: But an in-house p2p market would have a bunch of uses!

But from the PMs: I am absolutely superbusy out the wazoo (with another bootstrap project . . . ) But I recall this coin from its launch, and will pop in and watch events.

My Absolute Bottom Line: gotta have click-n-go wallets.

Hi IMZ

What do you mean by in-house p2p market and click-n-go wallets?

Ah, I see.  Boscoin did a LOTTERY to get people to vote for them on Kucoin Exchange.  Sneaky.

Yes @extro24 - I mean something like this.

Maybe we should create some telegram/slack group to talk about it ?
Or other communicator?

Give me opinion, what do u think about it?
It's my ideas, which could be executed, if communities are disciplined enough, to participate and dedicate to it.

I'm thinking about whole infrastructure, which could be brought, with some github open-source projects, to Slimcoin, and other low-volume innovative altcoins, because they blockchain is empty, so we could test their throughput, to the limit (with right 'marketing', we could start up some projects like exchanges and/or marketplaces, dice, with other altcoin communities - Datacoin and Cryptonite seems to be interested), because as we see that BTC isn't for such activity suitable.
Do you have any other ideas, which could be start-up, as a service, and the best with some sources from github?
As I have written, I thought about whole infrastructure, which could be also, in the future decentralized, on eg. Datacoin blockchain, then payment could be cleared in Slimcoin or Cryptonite.
With our fast confirmention, txs would be cleared fast and network should remain stable.
Electrum wallet would be necessary, but as I've seen there were some sources for electrum server?

I see what you mean.  I think we should then investigate Blocknet, because I understood this is their intention.  See how Datacoin/Slimcoin/Cryptonite can be integrated there.

For an exchange I would prefer we host it on a cloud like IBM Bluemix.  Even if we run peatio or buttercoin.  Then we don't have to worry about it going down.

Once we start on the cloud there are a lot of applications to run (I have been looking for a Hyperledger Satoshi Dice but we could use any other Satoshi Dice).  We could then enable the 3 coins to be usable on the Dice.  Same for market, auction, electricity trading, video poker, Blackjack etc.

This is similar to the approach taken by Charlie Lee of Litecoin for atomic trading, etc, where he wants coins to work together.  But they use Go code, which has a learning curve.  With IBM Cloud, Hyperledger and Node-RED the learning curve is much easier.

Me too, but I will watch to see what happens today at the conclusion of the vote.

How large is the entire DTC blockchain at this current time in GB? Curious to know how to compares to ETH BTC in this nascent stage.

Are you still weighing up on how to start up the Everipedia blockchain?  Architecture, rewards, proof of work etc?

Would be interesting to see if Datacoin or Datacoin testnet could play a role there.  Storj used Datacoin to test their ideas before they eventually went to Ethereum.

You should link up with Apertus.io (https://apertus.io).  They have lots of experience with social media apps on blockchains.

Kucoin Exchange

I have voted for Datacoin on Kucoin Exchange.  Seems you can only vote once?

We have 48 votes now and need 1497 to win.

I put the vote in the Twitter feed (which I am trying to ramp up).  We currently have about 3000 Twitter followers.  Too late for this round, but hopefully we can make it in a future round.

I hope the votes are not reset in every round.

Could we host an exchange on a cloud account at IBM Bluemix?  We could modify the smart contracts of Hyperledger Marbles to create a cryptocurrency exchange and host it in the IBM Cloud.  In that way we could also get help from the Hyperledger developers.  Hyperledger uses Node RED, which is a really cool way to construct smart applications for the cloud. It makes it easy to add sensors, IoT and API's to your program.

I am not really big on the idea of setting up an exchange for commercial reasons, however for some amusement I was thinking we could develop something like the below art auction demo and have community members bid on blocks of DTC. It would surely make for an interesting screencast and one that we can upload to our new Datacoin youtube channel.
Anyways I'll find the art auction repo for v1.0 and have a look into it.

Cryptonite project (XCN), is also interested, so with us three, it makes us somewhat strong group, I think.

We are just re-organising our website, and after that, we can start forming some group of people, who would like to join this cooperation.

From Slimcoin I could say there are 3 people interested: me, @ksdme (guy has, quite good experiance with designing websites, and some with c++, and python), @d5000.
From Cryptonite: pallas - he is their main supporter, and function as a developer, as I have seen.
From Datacoin: ?

I hope, that @gjhiggins, could help us.
