I seem to be having the same problem, haven't been able to solve it yet. Tried leaving the wallet open for sometime but that didn't seem to be it.

It is, but thats okay. We are all here to learn. I am new myself so I might butcher the explain too bare with me. Staking otherwise known as POS (proof of stake) is when you create a block by staking and providing coins. As a result of creating said block, you get a reward for doing so based on network weight and when you were last paid. Deeponion iirc is POS and POW so you can either make coins by staking them or you can make coins by mining them. The choice is yours
