When do you plan to release official Dero GUI wallet for Windows? I do not feel comfortalble using any CLI wallet and commands and do not mine any of such coins.
I know there is something like an unofficial wallet made by one of your fans, but it did not work for me, allways got an error when tried to install it .

The Daemon is chugging away at block 55704/57060 for a few hours already, is this normal? It keeps showing these messages:

WARN[xxxx] Block verification failed  rejecting since TX verification failed blid="smth"

Is this because of the recent attacks?

Can you restart your daemon and if it's still hanging can you make sure you're on the latest version (released a few hours ago) http://seeds.dero.io/alpha/

If you still have errors, please delete your mainnet folder and start again. I should add though that this is a rare requirement these days and probably not needed Smiley

Error occurred while opening wallet file derod.wallet err invalid databas
...

Do you ever read anything, or are you just waiting for even the slightest excuse to whine like a toddler who didn't get his favorite apple sauce?
...

He doesn't read anything. I already answered his question about blocking NH but he asked it again anyway. And he's still begging for donations. Congratulations, @kellog9000, you have been added to my ignore list.

Asic and nicehash protection? When it will be?

and donate me Smiley

Buh-bye!

Seriously. One does not simply turn off the NH port and quit asking for donations, you aren't even contributing anything.

New updated  alpha-7 released. Everyone update daemon. Pool operators must update. http://seeds.dero.io/alpha/

Just because I've been asked twice already, yes this update is important and there are major changes. Our developers get a wild amount of work done in a short period of time. I know the last update was recent but this one has lots of new stuff

Thx Serena!

Useful info! Smiley

Asic and nicehash protection? When it will be?

Constant rotation (It's just an example but it works like this)
Nicehash block PLS... bullshit =  power buy eg 0.2 btc   mining dero 3500piece   sell dero=  0.23 btc     Profit 0.03 btc

Few investors have many miners  =  And so the price will be less in its    FCK THE SYSTEM.....

PLS Nicehash port OFF

Buy Dero Wink

and donate me Smiley

Very interesting project based on cryptonote. I have started mining dero few days ago. Smart contracts and fast transactions speed are definitely a must ! Can't wait to see more.

Thank you! We will continue to work hard and try to provide frequent updates where possible  Smiley

Are these cryptonight ASICs going to be a problem on Dero Network?

That dude throwing a fit about Dero not open sourcing their work clearly just wants to copy the code an fork it. Or he has a larger team that can move faster on the code then the current team behind Dero and take first mover advantage away from them. They'd be insane to release their code into the wild before they are firmly in the first mover category which would include functional smart contracts and a team hired or multiple teams hired to help innovate. This dudes seems salty him and his team aren't smart enough to implement smart contracts on cryptonight themselves but is more than willing to take the work to benefit himself. Seriously what do you think the odds would be that the creators of Dero would abandon the project and not release their work into the wild? Zero thats the odds unless all 3 of them got struck by lightening at the same time and died lol. Nothing this guy has been complaining about is logical or would justify them open sourcing the project this early.

I saw this warning in the Electroneum thread about Cryptopia having major issues with their wallet after the .dat file grew to 4.6GB:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.33804903

Probably not an issue for the typical user, but could be a problem with exchanges.

"We dug through the code and found there was a hardcoded limit on the wallet file size of 1 GB, inherited from Monero."

I'm not an expert by any means so I might missed something and my thought is nonsense but this must have to do something with the fact that ETN has a huge supply so tx sizes should be also considerably bigger, right? We don't hear about such problems with Monero and Dero's total supply is the same. So I guess this must be another fail of ETN devs' quick copy&paste job lol. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You identified the part that I figured would most apply to DERO - a hard-coded limit on the wallet file size that is intended to prevent overly-long times in loading the file and executing transactions, etc., on it.

However, eventually ANY wallet.dat file will grow beyond reason given enough activity/use if there isn't some means of archiving old transactions. I felt that pointing out the issue with ETN/Cryptopia might give the DERO devs a head-start on dealing with the problem before it becomes a problem, so to speak.

Thanks for info.
we have already created new wallet database design from scratch to handle millions of transactions for exchanges and traders. We also kept in mind low ram consumption, database atomicity, minimum loss in case of server crash/power-loss. Anyone is welcome to test-run latest alpha release wallet for above.

On official pool, my IP is now banned ! Why ?
My address : dERooiZTeB1a1hSvHWe6pNLjt9abSFYqcUcthCGgBMyzVuNa9vLFF8ac9mhghxgB6WYxMXEUEvTmnDp JHpheHCHs4nbDEmjmN3

The pool sometimes gives temp bans for 10 minutes. We will look into relaxing this a little while into the future

This is not a problem for Dero. These things were resolved with the new code

It has been tested to make sure it can handle millions of transactions without errors

The best way to solve a problem is to not have to solve it in the first place!  Grin

I have created a telegram for DERO here is the link everyone: https://t.me/DEROCOIN

I have also invited the developers to join  Cool

Very interesting programming and I like the project.

Please be advised that nobody from the Dero team is in this channel, it is not an official channel, and we had no involvement in setting it up.

We will not be joining this channel.
