I severely concern the reliability and validity of the NXT transaction mechanism and DGEX system. Two days ago, I attempted to transfer 13287 NXT (plus 13 NXT transaction fee) to my DGEX account as deposit with a transaction deadline of 1 hour. Unfortunately, after one hour (1 hour deadline passed), the transaction was not made, and in my DGEX account history, it was stated that the NXT deposit was pending. Hence, for this pending order, I clicked the “cancel” button to cancel the “deposit”. Then in the history, it was stated that the “pending deposit” was canceled.

After two days (as of now), in my NXT account, 13300 NXT still disappears. From the information button “i”, I found the transaction ID, indicating 13300 NXT was transacted to the DGEX system. However, I could not see any deposit in my DGEX account.

Two days ago, I sent an email to DGEX and left a message in DGEX website. Up to now, no reply from DGEX…

My specific questions are:
1) Why did the NXT transaction still proceed even after the deadline was passed?
2) Where is my 13300 NXT now?
3) Why DGEX does not reply me?

The block explorer will be back up again later in the day. Wait until then and check the transaction - http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=100

DGEX will get back to you - they're just behind on customer support tickets.

This is not a real exchange at all.

They just want you to come by and 'donate' your bitcoins to them, and then those coins belong to them.
(read their terms if you don't believe me)

They don't have any coins yet, and no wallet ( they want you to pre-buy the non-existent coins at their website )

Its just a cash grab from possible thieves

Registered his account in November - definitely the sage of cryptocurrencies. Dude, you've just earned a big fat ignore.

Edit: Latest post by bitbets: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4221298

Its getting a bit ridiculous. I see all kinds of new coins being made now.

And how are all those coins going to possibly ever make it?

Why didn't people think of this long ago, that there needed to be a limit on the number of newly created coins?

Really, couldn't you learn a bit more about cryptocurrencies or at least how markets work before posting this drivel and crapping up a thread for a coin you clearly haven't taken the time to understand?

I created a dgex.com  account (account id: 5422) several days ago.  I transferred
0.25btc as a first trial run. The history shows the deposit, but my balance remains zero.
Two queries through the contact-us website form have gone unanswered, as has a reply to
the admin email from [email protected].

It seems from the inertial mass here that the answer to "is it a scam?" is probably 'no', but
the net effect to me will be the same if it remains a black hole.

Can anybody suggest a different path to an admin-type who may be motivated to communicate to find out what is up, or
perhaps what I do not understand?

thanks
Superresistant summed it up pretty well above. We are still swamped, but progressing. If we respond to queries "working on it", our support system works so that the query is eventually nulled - thus no response. Any social tricks to get you ahead of the queue may or may not work, but what's sure is that it slows down the overall situation. Thanks for your understanding, this was one-man operation serving what's currently 6800 trading accounts however it is now 2-man operation.

Open an account and transfer funds. These would seem to be just about the
most fundamental of requirements. When funds remain 'missing' after nearly a week and there
were no reported errors, exceptions, boundary conditions, thresholds tripped etc.... well, couple that with the silence
and it is not a good feeling for a new customer.

I have no desire to try to find queue-jumping "social tricks", and no
such implication is warranted. The situation surely justifies a question
and an expectation of some kind of response.

I understand and empathize with the dynamics of a swamped situation. Even an out-of-band,  place-in-the-queue type
message would go a long way (anything rather than silence), and probably be less impacting than
reading and responding to individual queries here.

In any case, thanks for this response. I will continue to wait.

I had a problem once, but the admin replied quite fast and fixed the problem.
Right now, the site and the admin cannot handle the success of NXT. Too many transactions and requests.
It is not that the admin ignore you but he doesn't have the time to reply.
Sending more email will only make the situation worse.

Edit: Kudos about the server upgrade - the site is much more responsive now.
Your messages are of no use for us if you don't include your DGEX account number in every one of them. Thanks.

Sent a PM including my account number.

Deposits showed up yesterday - thanks GCInc.

My deposit has been held hostage for five days now. Over 3600 confirmations. The price is now half of what it was when I transferred the funds. Sent support requests, posted here, don't really know what else to do but to share the experience.

Edit: the funds finally got posted. Thank you, GCInc!

IMO there should be only "Are you sure? Take a look again" alert before final acceptance. The same in Nxt client.
Any canceling transaction which already happened has no sense.

DGEX will need to improve, because it is only way for them to stay competitive. New server shows they are trying, i didn't have any problems with logging. But this isn't perfect page so we just need to remember it and take it into account.

Len it can work in both directions Wink
