The upcoming #DigitalNote network upgrade provides an updated blockchain that is lightweight/mobile compatible, allowing for features like a mobile encrypted messenger and mobile wallet 🙌

https://twitter.com/DigitalNoteXDN/status/1108125288435601408

DigitalNote pioneered blockchain locking rewards but never utilized staking to secure the network, UNTIL NOW.  We are excited to announce long awaited Proof-of-Stake functionality via our innovative PoW + PoS hybrid system, making the XDN network 2X as secure!🛡

And what about locking rewards, they won't be available anymore, right?

Correct, we will be transitioning to PoS in place of locked deposits...with the possibility of cold staking in the future.

Hi,
I have tried to launch my XDN wallet, but there is an error and the application just exit.
I am using the latest DigitalNote wallet. I have the same results with the cli and gui application.

Here is the error:
2019-Mar-23 07:46:57.089416 INFO [protocol] [198.37.123.213:42080 OUT] Sync data returned unknown top block: 1022712 -> 1034656 [11944 blocks (33 days) behind]

Does someone know what to do? Thanks.

Hi there, this will be fixed in the new wallet.  Just keep your private key safe for when the upgrade hits.  All the details will be provided shortly before release.  You are always welcome to join us on Discord or telegram (https://discord.gg/4dUquty and https://t.me/XDNDigitalNote respectively).

Networks with small numbers of nodes are less secure & reliable than established networks.  Not every crypto gets a high price tag like #bitcoin so mining incentive can wane when markets are down.  Masternodes not only offer security, but user incentive & features... $XDN upgrade

Using the same hashing algorithm as #Monero means that ASIC created for Monero can also be used to attack $XDN.  Even the Monero network has to shed more than 80% of its hashrate every time they fork to rid themselves of the newest ASICs.  This is very dangerous for the security of the network & leaves it open to attacks.  A better option would be to use less common, more efficient hashing algorithm(s) alongside a custom difficulty retargeting algorithm to mitigate 51% attacks & timestamp exploits 💪

Proof-of-Work cryptocurrencies with smaller networks are very susceptible to 51% attacks and timestamp exploits by bad actors with GPU farms or ASICs.  We saw numerous coins get attacked in 2018 including ETC and XVG.  If only there was a system to balance out PoW hashers...😈

The official #DigitalNote website http://digitalnote.biz  will receive a major face-lift for the $XDN protocol upgrade.  The whitepaper is also completely revised 😉.  We will begin to release the details about the new features publicly & our roadmap will be available at release.

Hello XDN dev team
I have the same issue with hitbtc
please ask them update the wallet

Dont understand why you are trading on exchanges that you do not respect, wind up trading volumes and most importantly steal users' funds? Why are you doing all this?
After all, it is clear that the owners of the exchanges wanted to spit on your desires. If you like the project then bypass such platforms. The creators of the project do not have control over the exchanges.

Just curious as I don't think I sent them to a wallet but possibly to another exchange. Unfortunately I can't figure this out for myself.

List of XDN mining pools with live stats & hashrate distribution

https://miningpoolstats.stream/digitalnote
Thank you, this site is very helpful for me in terms of help me to choose the best pools for my rigs.
As always, spreading hashrates out to as many pools as possible are highly recommended  because it helps to prevent potential serious Replay attacks partially due to dominant hashrates on limited number of pools.

Jeeeez. This kind of comment wording is assuming the devs did not ask them to update the wallet. This also intrinsically points to the assumption that the devs have godly power over 3rd parties such as exchanges, etc.
So, what if the devs did repeatedly ask HitBTC (and MinerGate for that matter) to update to the new blockchain and HitBTC/MG chose to ignore the request for whatever reason? Did that cross your mind?

So, people, please stop asking devs to fix issues that are are not theirs to fix and rather go to where the issue really lies. Have problems with HitBTC? SO GO THERE.
Water is wet you know?  Wink

Disclosure: I also lost some XDN with MinerGate due to them being on the old blockchain when I sent the funds to a wallet that was already on the new.

So any devs response to HITBTCs update of the wallet??? Coins are stuck, can't sell, cant move to trading or main account, this is unacceptable!

This has been discussed before, you should open a ticket in HitBtc, they're causing the issue
