Dear Diamond community,

as you might be aware Bittrex exchange has decided to delist DMD Diamond (https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029727892). The reasons for delisting were very generally excplained in a policy here (https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000474232-Bittrex-Market-Token-Removal-Policy). However, one can only speculate as it's impossible to pin point the exact causes.

It is disappointing to see the exchange with which Diamond has been since 2014 closing its doors to one of the oldest community run cryptocurrencies. Even though it's clear Bittrex wouldn't change its decision we will keep discussing with them how to get relisted in the future.

When such upsets happened in the past i.e. Cryptsy, Cryptopia  the community dealt with it by moving their coins and business to the other platforms. No exchange owns DMD Diamond, because we all are our own bank. For DMD Diamond as a project nothing changes, the funding and development are secured and Diamond Foundation team follow what DMD community decided early on - codebase change proposal (https://dmd4.bit.diamonds/) and voted favourably to implement it (http://voting.blockteks.io/).

DMD Diamond foundation cooperates with fabulous teams of lab10 (https://lab10.coop/) and PoA (https://poa.network/) to deliver blockchain innovation that will make DMD rise like a Phoenix again. It's good to reiterate changes to come, among others:

- taking blockchain technology to another level Honey Badger consensus an eco friendly scaling solution for Etherum with cheap and fast transaction speed (in seconds) and immediate block finality,
- Web Wallet for greatly simplifying access to DMD blockchian thus boosting its adoption,
- Smart Contracts for decentralised apps of blockchain economy,
- Interoperability Bridge for inter blockchain value transfer,
- Offline Staking for maintenance free experience,
- New on chain Governance and Budgeting System to sow seeds of protocol's growth.

Thanks to DMD 4.0's compatibility with Ethereum based services and a wealth of infrastructure that's already present or being currently built, DMD Diamond will have a great opportunity to derive its value by means other than coin mechanics and trading alone.
Nonetheless, a healthy and robust market with high liquidity is what a coin needs too. Everyone from the community recognises that DMD's place is among large popular crypto exchanges and we believe with the new value proposition for DMD Diamond it will create a great deal of opportunity to open doors and make a difference. Also with positive community engagement there will be  plenty more to be a part of in this growing smart economy.

Up until DMD gets back to some more liquid markets please check out the other long standing exchanges and establish market there:

- Livecoin.net (https://www.livecoin.net/) - with DMD-BTC/ETH/USD pairs
- Crex24.com (https://crex24.com/exchange/DMD-BTC) - with DMD-BTC pair
- Crypto Bridge (https://wallet.crypto-bridge.org/market/BRIDGE.DMD_BRIDGE.BTC)

Diamond is the Phoenix of Crypto, there is much more to come.
DMD team will inform you of the next steps in due course. Stay tuned!

DMD V4 is
[1] Do you take Ethereum-based ERC20 token format?
[2] Or is it compatible with Ethereum in coin format?
Which [1] or [2]?

Also, is the supply of DMD maximum issue number etc. maintained? It is recognition of 4.38 million pieces now.

https://crex24.com/exchange/DMD-BTC

I have used this site before with no issues.  There just needs to be a market maker.
Crex24 exchange is not a big one, but it is enough to trade Diamond, in my opinion. I traded on Crex24 since 2018, and also have no issues with that platform. Someone above proposed Stellar-based exchange, that I am not familiar with, but the given information looks interesting. I will spend my time during the weekend to discover Stellar-based exchanges. Thanks for giving me a hint on Stellar-based exchanges.

Bittrex delisting is for sure a big hit at first, but the coin is prepared. We still got livecoin, crex24, cryptobridge exchanges and with DMDv4  a bittrex relisting is possible.

It's been a long time since I've posted. Sorry to hear about the delisting. But I wish the diamond coin crew & coin the best of luck in the future.

DMD can be traded on the Stellar platform (Stellar as in Stellar Lumens), see http://makemoney.knotwork.com/

( specifically http://makemoney.knotwork.com/stellar/dmd/ )

Stellar, like Ripple, does not force trading-pairs to use its own native coin, in this case Lumens (XLM), as one side of the pair; you can create offers of any asset versus any asset.

Unlike Ripple you can still run a Stellar wallet yourself on your own computer; it is closer than Ripple is to the concept of the original Ripple that the current Ripple corp bought out, whereby you can use it to track IOUs between friends and so on; anyone can owe anyone anything, it is not all caught up in big banking and so on as much as Ripple is.

Unfortunately though none of those types of platform seem to provide production-ready code for bailing-in and bailing-out blockchain-coins back and forth to tokens, so we have to do that part manually. Maybe someday one of the "federations" or whatever that do have production-ready code for doing that will release it as free open source, meanwhile the free open source "example" code provided specially wanrs that it is not production-ready so I am not going to risk using it.

Bittrex made it clear that we have the right to submit a new request for listing in 3 - 6 months after they see the V4 code update.
Bittrex, of course, is not the only option for Diamond project. There are lots of exchanges around us, so we should not over dissapointed with recent delist from Bittrex. At least, they open chances to come back next 3 to 6 months. Now, it depends upon Diamond team to bring the coin back to Bittrex, if they want. Besides Bittrex, are the team have other plans on other exchanges, such as Binance DEX, and others?

The BTC-DMD market will be removed on 07/12/2019

Gone from bittrex.

Whats next for the project?

Once you have been removed from a major exchange its generally the end of the project because its
damn hard to get back on to any of them. Sad

Bittrex made it clear that we have the right to submit a new request for listing in 3 - 6 months after they see the V4 code update.

There was news coverage for deletion, does that mean that it will be resurrected by v4 code? 100% possibility? Or are you still undecided? Is the decision authority on the bittrex side? Or is it a money problem?

There's never a guarantee for relisting.

Trade volume is just way too low, if bittrex aren't making any money from fees, they
Delist.
Hoping v4 will enable better use cases, at the moment it's just another pos/masternode coin.
Looking forward to the next update.

Certainly, in the past, it was at the time of the declaration of deletion of the main exchange that the price was lowered the most in the revival coin. Now it is likely to be at historical lows in the DMD

Remove from bittrex? Is it so much down because of that? I am surprised that 6000 Satoshi. I have been participating since 140000 Satoshi. I would like to go down like this. The shock is too big( ;  ; ) Cry

Mr. zero merit, I can't even read what you are writing.

This Troll Mr1k  doesn't seem to let up.
The best way for him to sell all and go out.
I told him that a long time ago, but apparently he can't understand what others write.

Just press the "Ignore" link and it solves the problem  Grin
